About Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur

Sir Padampat Singhania University is a private university established in the year 2007 by the cement manufacturing giant JK Cement Nimbahera Foundation in Udaipur, Rajasthan. SPSU, Udaipur offers several undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in the discipline of management and engineering.

Doctoral degrees are also offered by the university in the discipline of Engineering and technology. The campus of the university is 100 acres large and it is facilitated with all the state-of-the-art facilities required for holistic learning.

SPSU Udaipur is also a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) since July 2013. It is a unitary university and it does not have off-campus centers/study centers in India or abroad.

The university has industrial and academic collaboration with the Association of International Accountants, London (AIA), Chiba University of Commerce, Japan (CUC), Management Centre Innsbruck, Austria (MCI), Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, and The University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA.

JK Cement Nimbahera Foundation (JKCNF) which is the founding organization of the University is associated with twelve educational institutions that impart education to nearly 14000 students at various levels of the learning curve. The JK Cement Nimbahera Foundation envisioned the establishment of a world-class University in Rajasthan benchmarked to international educational institutions.

The current total intake of the university is 380 annually and there are about 54 faculty members across various departments, which indicates the current student-to-teacher ratio at SPSU is 14:1

The university offers 4 specializations in engineering and technology courses (B.Tech and M.Tech). As per placement records, the university campus has witnessed the visits of several prominent recruiters such as TCS, Wipro, Harman, Byjus, and many others.

The highest placement package recorded so far is Rs 13.4 LPA. During the last year's recruitment drive, about 50.5% of students received multiple job offers, and around 41.9% of students are currently earning a CTC of more than Rs 4 LPA Sir Padampat University also conduct mentorship sessions in association with leading MNCs which helps to shape up the careers of students as future leaders.

SPSU Udaipur Eligibility Criteria & Admissions Process 2024-24

To get admission to Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), the applicants have to fulfill the eligibility requirements set by the university. The university will also conduct a common entrance test namely SPSAT to grant admissions to all the UG, PG, and Doctoral courses.

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process

The candidate must complete their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects and the passing certificate must be completed by a recognized board and with at least 60% marks in board examinations.
For admissions, the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the SPSAT entrance exam conducted by the university.

BBA Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process

The candidate must have secured passing marks in 10+2 board examinations from any stream. Candidates who secure 60% or above marks will be given preference during the examinations.
Admission to the BBA program will be done through the SPSAT entrance exam conducted by the university.

MBA Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process

Candidate must complete his/her graduation preferably with at least 60% marks in the graduation exams.
The candidates have to appear in the university-level exam SPSAT and obtain a minimum required score in the same.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process

Candidates must have completed their B.E/B.Tech in a branch of engineering that is relevant to their desired M.Tech course.
Candidates looking for admission to M.Tech Computer Science Engineering may require any of these degrees: B.E/B.Tech CSE or B.E/B.Tech Electronics & Computer Science or MSc. in Electronics/Computer Science/Physics/Mathematics or an MCA degree obtained from a recognized university.
For M.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering, the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent/ M.Sc. in Electronics or Physics as a regular student from a recognized university.
To get Admission to M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, the candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent as a regular student from a recognized University.
For M.Tech Mining Engineering, the candidate must have completed Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent as a regular student from a recognized University.
Admissions to all the M.Tech courses will be done through the SPSAT Entrance exam conducted by Sir Padampat Singhania University.

PhD Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process

Candidates must have completed their postgraduation (Master or M.Phil) in a discipline relevant to their desired P.h.D specialization.
Admission to the P.h.D course will be done through the SPSAT entrance test.

Sir Padampat Singhania University Placement

The university has a training and placement cell that primarily works for the career development of its students. The institution has achieved an outstanding placement record so far. As per placement records, In the School of Engineering.

The average CTC offered to the students is Rs 4.3 Lacs per annum, Highest CTC recorded is Rs 13.4 Lacs per annum. Moreover, about 51.3% of its students received multiple job offers and over 43.6% of students have bagged job offers higher than Rs 4 Lacs per annum.

Furthermore, the School of Management has recorded an average CTC of Rs 4.3 L.P.A and the highest CTC of Rs 10 L.P.A. More than 46.7% of students received multiple job offers during the last year's placement drive and about 33.3% of students received a package of Rs 4 L.P.A or above.
