Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University (MJRP) is located in the pink city of Jaipur and was established in 2009 under the University Act. This University has collaborated with several colleges and offers educational courses in the areas of Engineering, Management, Architecture, Fashion Design, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Home Science, Yoga, and Vedic Sciences.

The University has derived its name from Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole who was a social reformer. The University initially started as a small college of Arts but later extended its areas to the College of Veterinary Science, Education, Corporate Management, and Nursing. MJRP University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Business Management, and PhD courses in different disciplines.

Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University, Jaipur is approved by Government bodies like the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission (UGC), and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and Bar Council of India(BCI).

MJRP has been named after Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole who was a social reformer and worked for the upliftment of women. The University offers quality education to the students by providing theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on technical experience. The University faculty consists of highly qualified individuals who are experts in their respective fields. Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University is the first University to be recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and the Scientific Industrial Research Organization (SIRO).

The campus of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University has a huge area of 100 acres and is located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. The University offers separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels can accommodate 200 students at a time.
