Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT)

Malaviya National Institute of Technology was established in 1963, It is started as a joint venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of Rajasthan. On June 26, 2002, the college was given the status of National Institute of Technology and after 5 years, on 15 August 2007, it was proclaimed as Institute of National Importance through Act of Parliament. The Institute is fully funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Over 12,000 students have already graduated since its establishment. The Institute was started with the mission to make its student's technical manpower so that they can meet up with the current and future demands of the industry.

The Malaviya National Institute of Technology is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and the Ministry of Human Resource Department. The institute is affiliated with the Government of India. The Malaviya National Institute of Technology is situated at Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Jhalana Gram, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Malaviya National Institute of Technology is ranked 53 for Engineering by NIRF 2024. The campus is spread over 317 acres of lush greenery area. The institute has wifi connectivity all over the campus for its students. The campus is 5 k.m away from the Jaipur International airport and 8 k.m away from the Jaipur Junction. The nearest public transport to the campus is a bus stop which is 500m away.

The Malaviya National Institute of Technology offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The undergraduate programmes offered by MNIT are B.Arch and B.Tech in various specializations. B.Tech programme is offered in 7 specializations that is B.Tech in chemical engineering, B.Tech in civil engineering, B.Tech in computer science & engineering, B.Tech in electrical engineering, B.Tech in Electronics & communication engineering, B.Tech in mechanical engineering and B.Tech in metallurgical & materials engineering. The postgraduate courses offered at MNIT are M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Plan and MBA.

Central Library

At MNIT there is a spacious and well-equipped library. The library is filled with almost 1,33,600 volumes of books, periodicals, reports and reference material. There is a book bank also in the main library for students, some more books are issued to students from book banks also. To the students belonging to weaker sections(SC/ST), some additional books are given from the Book Bank. The library is not restricted with this only there are video viewing facilities that are also available for students and staff. The library is fully computerized, Library has procured LIBSYS Software(Multi-user) and started the computerization of in house data. 

Sports and Games

The Malaviya National Institute of Technologies focuses on the sports of the students. Their students can play both outdoor and indoor games. At MNIT students have many facilities to enhance their physical activities.

Computer Centre

The computer centre was inaugurated in 1989 which is open for all days and 24 hours. The computer centre is accomplished with the latest technologies and software.  

Dispensary

The institute has its own dispensary facility for students and staff. The dispensary is open all days (Except National Holidays), the timings are different.

Weekdays: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Weekends: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A canteen is situated on the campus which is known as “Annapurna”. The canteen serves hygienic, delicious and pocket-friendly food. There are varieties of dishes and other edible items to choose from, which is being provided and managed by a city-based NGO the "Akshaya Patra Foundation".
