Lateral Entry Admission Process

To seek admission in any lateral entry course candidates need to read all the eligibility criteria regarding that course and make sure they fulfill all of them after this candidates can apply to any institution of their choice in their choice of course. Candidates need to give an entrance exam in some institutes for some courses while in some institutes admission will be given on a merit basis for some courses.

The students who will be given admission on a merit basis will have to score high marks in their diploma, as the highest marks scorers will get admission to the best institutes. Students need to prepare hard for the entrance exam as the competition in the entrance exam is high, candidates need to qualify for the entrance exam with at least 50 to 60% marks.

For seeking admission in the lateral entry courses candidates need to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria which are to complete a diploma of 3 years from a recognized body after the 10th. The admission process varies from institute to institute and as well as with the course. Some of the institutes give admission on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the diploma.

Candidates are usually confused in taking admission whether they have to study the syllabus of 1st year also or what they will study, whether will they directly study 2nd year syllabus, and many questions regarding the syllabus.
