Key highlights regarding the NIHFW Exam Pattern:

• The assessment process of the student is done on the basis of the formative and terminal evaluation. The formative evaluation consists of the internal assessments (150 marks) comprising the marks scored by the students for the submission of the assignments (60 marks) and the project work (50 marks) on time. Moreover, the attendance at the 2 contact session also carries 20 marks each (total 40 marks) with a significant contribution to the internal assessment. 
• The terminal evaluation that is the final exam consists of the Theory Paper I (100 marks), Theory Paper-II (100 marks) and the marks obtained in the practical (50 marks) and the viva-voce (50 marks).  

Determining the NIHFW Exam Result:

The points given below will give you an idea regarding the criteria that contribute to determining the NIHFW Exam result. 

• A student is considered to be passed if he/ she has secured aggregate marks of 225 out of total 450 marks. This is the overall determination of the performance of the candidate as for how he/ she has performed in the respective course in the particular course duration. 
• For the theory part, the candidate is required to have secured at least 50% aggregate that is 100 out of 200 marks to be considered as a pass in the respective course. 
• For the practical part, the candidate is required to have scored at least 50% aggregate marks that is 50 out of a total of 100 marks in the respective course to be considered as a pass. 
• To determine the performance of a candidate in the internal assessment the candidate is required to have scored 50% aggregate that is 75 out of a total of 150 marks. Therefore, it is essential for the candidate to abide by the guidelines of the internal assessment of the NIHFW Exam in order to be eligible as well as score substantially in the exam of the respective courses they are pursuing. 

After the NIHFW Exam Result:

The respective department of NIHFW follows certain criteria according to which the performance of the student is decided. Here are some of the pointers that contribute significantly to the performance of the students. 

• If a candidate he/she passes in theory and fails in the practicals then he/ she is supposed to appear in the practical exam only. 
• Similarly, if the candidate fails in the theory and passes in the practicals then he/she is supposed to appear in the theory exam only. 
• Results of theory and the practical exam will be displayed on the official website of NIHFW. 

Eligibility for appearing in the NIHFW final examination:

The students who are pursuing the NIHFW distance learning courses need to abide by the eligibility guidelines in order to appear in the NIHFW final exam. Here are some of the substantial points to be kept in mind by the respective students.

• There are 2 assignments in total that need to be submitted by the students in order to gain marks in the internal assessment. It is important for the students to score well in the internal assignment as it carries a significant weightage in the result evaluation. It is extremely mandatory for the students to submit the respective assignments to be eligible for the NIHFW final exam.
• The students are required to submit the assigned project work within the stipulated time to be eligible for the NIHFW final exam. There are few points given below that the students pursuing the distance learning courses need to remember.

• The students can do the selection of topics for the project work in the 1st contact programme itself.
• The selection of the topic should be followed by the students submitting the synopsis (one to two pages) of the project work in order to get it approved after the contact programme. But make sure to get that synopsis approved in the stipulated time as it would not be entertained after the assigned time.
• It is also important to make sure that the project should not exceed more than 15000 words and the student should ensure the submission of the project work within the time assigned. 

• The students are required to give a full attendance in the contact session conducted by the institute for the distance learning students as it has a substantial contribution to the internal assignments. It is essential for the students to gain at least 50% aggregate marks in the internal assignment in order to be eligible for the NIHFW final exam.

Marksheet/ Certificate distribution:

After the completion of the distance learning course within the stipulated time, the candidate is awarded with the marksheet/certificate for the respective course.

Best Student Award

The student who scores the highest in the respective distance learning course of the academic year will be acknowledged and awarded with the best student award. The award ceremony mostly takes place on the annual day of the respective academic year. The notification regarding the related details is shared with the students. However, this is subjected to change with respect to a new academic year.

Criteria for Duplicate Certificate/ Marksheet

There are few predetermined conditions according to which the passed students can get the duplicate certificate/marksheet. The criterias for availing the duplicate certificate/ marksheet are given below.

• The student who wants to issue the duplicate certificate/ marksheet can fill the respective form in order to proceed with the significant procedure.
• The students are required to pay the respective of Rs500 (might vary as per the academic year) in the form of a demand draft in favour of The Director, NIHFW  payable at New Delhi.
