KVS Exam Pattern

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will conduct the KVS Exam 2025 for the recruitment of candidates for teaching and non-teaching posts in the Kendriya Vidyalaya schools. The KVS will release the exam pattern and applicants can download it from the official website before starting their preparation.

The KVS Exam pattern 2025 consists of the details of the exam including the total number of sections, total number of questions, marks allotted to each question, marking pattern, and negative marking pattern (if any).

Candidates who want to crack the KVS Exam 2025 must know the exam pattern for all the posts. The KVS recruitment exam will be held for filling the vacant posts for different teaching categories like PGT, TGT, PRT, Principal, and Vice Principal.

The selection process will be held in 2 rounds - A written exam and a Personal interview. Candidates will be selected for the KVS post based on their performance in both the written exams and Personal interviews. The final Merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the KVS Exam 2025.

Candidates who are appearing for the KVS recruitment exams must clear the Written Test in order to proceed to the Personal interview round. Candidates must know the exam pattern thoroughly to score well and crack the KVS written exam easily.

• The total marks of the exam are 150 and the total time of the exam is 150 minutes.

KVS Exam pattern 2025 for PGT

• The exam consists of 2 papers- Part I and Part II.
• Part I consists of questions from General English and General Hindi.
• Part II consists of questions about General knowledge, Computer literacy, Reasoning ability, Pedagogy, and subject matter.
• The total time of the PGT written exam is 150 minutes and the total marks are 150.

KVS Exam Pattern for PRT and PRT Music Teacher

• The exam pattern is divided into 2 papers- Part I and Part II.
• Part I consists of languages English and Hindi.
• Part II consists of General knowledge, Current affairs, Reasoning Ability, Computer literacy, Pedagogy, and the subject concerned.

KVS Exam Pattern for TGT, PGT, PRT Interview

Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the final interview round based on the number of vacancies.

The Merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of the Written exam and Personal interview. The selection of the candidates will be based on the total number of vacant posts available.
