IRDA Exam Information

IRDA or the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India conducts exams every year for hiring candidates for various posts. IRDA is the apex body that controls the Insurance sector in India. IRDA was established in the year 2000 with the aim of regulating the General Insurance and Life Insurance companies of India.

IRDA is an important part of the Government of India and conducts recruitment drives for hiring candidates for different posts from all over India. Through the IRDA Exam 2025, the Government will recruit Insurance agents for different companies.

Apart from this, the IRDA Exam is also conducted for the post of Assistant Managers and General Managers. There is no specific date for the IRDA Exam and the exam is conducted only when the vacancies for the specific posts are released.

IRDA Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants applying for the IRDA Exam 2025 must check the eligibility criteria for the exams before filling in the application form. The eligibility criteria varies with the different posts of the IRDA exam. Candidates applying for the different posts can check the eligibility criteria released with the official notification.

Age limit

Candidates applying for the IRDA Exam 2025 must have a minimum age limit of 21 years. The upper age limit of the exam is 30 years. Candidates belonging to the special category have age relaxation as per the following:

  • SC/ST- 5 years
  • PwD- 10 years
  • OBC- 3 years

Academic Qualification

  • Candidates must complete the Bachelor Degree exam from a recognized Institute.
  • Candidates must secure at least 60% aggregate in the Bachelor degree exam.
