DU SOL 2025:

Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL) provides admission to the candidates for the undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes. All the aspirants have to register themselves on the official website of DU, i.e., sol.du.ac.in to take admission in various PG and UG courses. DU SOL 2025 Admission Notification:

DU SOL releases the admission notification in the month of May every year. The application process of DU SOL admission starts from the first week of June for both the UG and PG programmes. DU offers a seat in five UG programmes. The programmes are B.Com Hons., BA English Hons, B.Com, BA Political Science Hons, and BA Programme. In addition to this, it also offers five PG programmes such as MA Hindi, MA Sanskrit, MA Hindi, MA Political Science, and M.Com through DU SOL admissions.

The aspirants who want to enroll themselves in the UG programs of DU SOL admission have to fill the DU SOL Application Form. DU SOL 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

For UG Courses

Qualification examination -

  • All the aspirants must have cleared 10+2 or Pre-University examination (2 years) from a recognized university or any other recognized board.
  • General – Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with 65% aggregate marks and 75% in English Core (at least with 1 language (only English) + 3 academic subjects.
  • OBC – Candidates must have scored 58.5% aggregate marks with 67.5% marks in core English subjects.
  • SC / ST – Candidates must have secured the minimum passing marks in the qualifying exam with core English subjects and 3 academic subjects.
  • PWD – Aspirants should score 61.75% aggregate marks along with 71.25% marks in the English core.
B.Com (Hons):
  • General – Candidates must have scored 55% in Aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations or secured 60% marks in a vocational stream in qualifying examinations.
  • OBC – Aspirants must have secured 49.5% aggregate marks in QE with 54% and above in the vocational stream.
  • SC / ST – Candidates must score minimum passing marks in the qualifying exam.
  • PWD – Candidates must have scored 52.25% aggregate marks with 60% marks and above in the vocational stream.
BA (Hons) Political Science:
  • General – Candidates must have scored 50% in aggregate marks in any one of the qualifying examinations at least with one language plus three academic subjects.
  • OBC – Candidates must secure 49.5% aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • SC / ST – Aspirants must have scored minimum passing marks in the qualifying exam
  • PWD – Candidates must have secured 47.5% in aggregate marks at least with one language plus three academic subjects.
BA and B.Com:
  • General – Candidates must have scored 40% marks aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations. In the case of CBSE and NIOS, the best 5 subjects and other board’s maximum marks obtained.
  • OBC – Candidates must have secured 36% aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • SC / ST – Candidates must have obtained the minimum passing marks in the qualifying exam.
  • PWD – Aspirants have secured 38% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
For PG Courses
  • M.A. (Hindi) – The aspirants must have completed B.A. (Hons.) Hindi from the University of Delhi. The minimum marks required for the General category are 65%, 58.5% in the case of OBC & admission of SC/ST/PWD/CW category candidates will be done as per the University rules.
  • M.A. (History) – Candidates must have passed the B.A. (Hons.) Examination in History from the University of Delhi with 60% Marks.
  • M.A. (Pol. Sc.) – Candidates must have completed B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from the University of Delhi with 60% Marks or above.
  • M.A. (Sanskrit) – Aspirants must have B.A. (Hons.) Sanskrit from the University of Delhi with 60% marks for the General Category and 54% for OBC. Admissions of SC/ST/PWD category candidates will be done according to the University rules.
  • M.Com. – Candidates must have passed B.Com or equivalent degree with 65% marks in aggregate for the General Category, 58.5% for OBC, 60% for CW, and PWD Category.
  • Age Limit – According to the law of DU, there is no age limit for the candidates to apply for DU SOL.

Who Can Apply for DU SOL Admission?

All the aspirants who fulfill the given criteria can apply for DU SOL Admission.

Category A - Candidates who belong to and residing in India can apply for DU SOL admission.

Category B - Candidates who are Indian nationals and are working in Indian missions abroad can apply for DU SOL admission.

Category C - Indian candidates who are settled abroad can also apply for admission in DU SOL. Such candidates have to appear for the exam in Delhi only. Foreign candidates residing in India can also apply for admission to DU SOL.
