KTET Registration Form 2020:

KTET Registration Form 2020 was released by the Board of Kerala Government on the 9th of January 2020. However, the process to fill the KTET 2020 Registration Form was over on 16th January 2020.  The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) Registration form correction window is also closed. To complete the registration process candidates have to submit Rs. 500/- as KTET Registration fee 2020 while Rs 250/- for the reserved category.

The authority will accept the registration done by the candidates through online only. If any candidate has registered themselves through any other mode or through offline mode then their registration will be considered as invalid.

KTET Registration 2020: Candidates must also make sure that they fill the categories in the application form as per the required eligibility. The authority has also released the KTET Registration Form 2020 correction window. If the applicants have to check their payment status and to correct the details in the registration form they have the option to check it through their Registration No and ID.



How to fill and download the KTET Registration Form 2020?

Here are some steps are given to fill and download the KTET Registration Form 2020. Go through the steps given below:

  • Aspirants need to visit the official site of the Kerala Government Education Board (KGEB) @ ktet.kerala.gov.in.
  • Now, click on the link given for the registration.
  • After this, click on the “New Registration” link given.
  • After reading all the instructions click on the “ Click Here to New Registration” option.
  • Now, fill all the important information required-name, Aadhar number, gender, category, qualifications, etc.
  • Upload your recent and scanned signature and photograph it in the prescribed format.
  • Finally, click on the save button and submit the registration form.
  • Make sure to note down the system generated application number and application ID.
  • Once the form is submitted don’t forget to pay the KTET Registration fee 2020.
  • If necessary, take a printout of the registration form.

Eligibility Criteria for KTET Registration Form 2020:

KTET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2020 is available for all the registered candidates on the official website of Kerela i.e ktet.kerala.gov.in.  Kerala State Education Board (KSEB), is going to administer the Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test for February Session 2020 to select the candidates for a different category. The authority is conducting examinations for four different categories i.e Upper Primary, Lower Primary & High school classes and teachers of different languages across Kerala state. 

The exam authority has set different KTET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2020  for each different category. In order to appear for different categories of the KTET 2020 Exam, it is mandatory for the applicants to have complete knowledge of the KTET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2020  for different categories. In order to clear the examination of the selected category applicants are required to be sure that they fulfill the prescribed Eligibility Criteria as per the requirement.

Down below the Eligibility Criteria for KTET 2020 is given for KTET different Categories:

Category I - Lower Primary Classes (I-V) Teacher:

Aspirants are required to fulfill Any One of the KTET Eligibility Criteria 2020 given below:

  • A candidate must have passed their Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. Along with this, they must have a certificate of the 2-year Teacher Training Course (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

  • A candidate must have passed there Intermediate (10+2). Candidates must also have a certificate of qualifying 2-year diploma in elementary education by NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.

OR

  • A candidate must have passed their Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks  or hold an equivalent degree in 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

  • A candidate must have passed there Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or have a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Category II - Upper Primary Classes (VI-VIII) Teacher:

Aspirants are required to fulfill Any One of the KTET Eligibility Criteria 2020 given below:

  • Applicants must have qualified his/her B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. In addition to it, applicants also must hold 2-year diploma Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

  • Applicants must have qualified his/her B.A/B.Sc/B.Com degree with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), by regulations, norms, and procedure of NCTE.

OR

  • The applicant must hold a Higher Secondary degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and also a degree in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

OR

  • The applicant must have passed his/her Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Category III - High School Classes (IX-X) Teacher:

Aspirants are required to fulfill Any One of the Eligibility Criteria for KTET 2020 given below:

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject from any one of the Universities in Kerala.

OR

  • Candidate must hold a Master's Degree in An MSc.Ed. with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the subject concerned if applying for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT.

OR

  • Candidate must hold a degree of MSc.Ed. in Life Science with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks if applying for Botany and Zoology from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT.
Category IV - High School Classes (IX-X) Teacher:

Aspirants are required to fulfill Any One of the Eligibility Criteria for KTET 2020 given below:

  • A candidate must have an acquired qualification for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), and Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as mentioned in Chapter XXXI of Kerala Education Act and Rules.

OR

  • Candidates must hold a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any of the subjects which are also approved by Universities/NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Government of Kerala.

Relaxation in Marks:

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be given the 5% relaxations in the minimum Educational Qualification.
  • Candidates belonging to the PWD category will be given 10% relaxations in the minimum Educational Qualification.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC & OEC category will be given 10% relaxations in the minimum Educational Qualification.

Age Limit:

Applicants who are interested and wish to apply for the KTET Exam 2020  then their age must be 18 years.
