Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test

KARTET 2025-26:

KARTET which is Karnataka TET is an eligibility exam which is conducted by the State Education Board of Karnataka. This eligibility exam is conducted for the candidates who want to become a teacher for the primary and upper primary students across the state of Karnataka.

The candidates who will qualify for the KARTET {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} will be considered being eligible to apply as a teacher in the government schools in Karnataka. KARTET {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} Exam is only an eligibility test and the candidates will be considered as a teacher in the government educational institution only if they qualify for the Teacher Recruitment Exam which is conducted by the State Education Board of Karnataka.

About KARTET 2025-26:

Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test or KARTET is an eligibility exam that is conducted by the State Education Board of Karnataka every year. The main purpose of this eligibility exam is to certify the individuals who want to be involved in the field of teaching and education.

The KARTET {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} Exam is conducted once every year. The KARTET Exam {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} will be held in two phases. One for the aspirants who want to be the Primary Teacher, i.e., who want to teach students of Class I to V, and the other is for the candidates who want to be Higher Primary Teacher (Class VI to VIII).

The KARTET Exam is conducted to examine the eligibility of the students for the post of Primary and Higher Primary Teachers within the state of Karnataka. Aspirants who want to appear for the KARTET {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} Exam must gratify all the eligibility criteria which are announced by the Karnataka Board. Once a candidate qualifies for the KARTET Exam, they will be awarded a TET Certificate which is having the validation of seven years.

KARTET Exam Application Form 2025-26:

KARTET Application Form is one of the most important procedures for the aspirants to appear in the KARTET {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} Exam. The KARTET Exam Application Form will starts in the month of January {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} and end by the second week of February {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}}. There is a KARTET Application Fee that the candidates have to submit in order to successfully complete the KARTET Exam Application Form.

The KARTET Exam Admit Card is released in the month of June 2025 once the application process is successfully completed and has ended. It is very decisive for the candidates to get their KARTET Exam Admit Card on time. The applicants without their KARTET {{{CURRENT_SESSION}}} Admit Card will not be allowed to enter and sit for the exam.

KARTET Result:

The KARTET Exam Result will release in the month of May 2025 on the official website of the board. All the candidates can get official notifications related to the results on the website of the Karnataka board. To check the KARTET Result, candidates have to visit the board's official website and then, do the login by the application id which was provided to them at the time of filling the KARTET Application Form.

KARTET Exam Eligibility Criteria:

For Exam 1 (Paper 1)

• The minimum educational qualification required is class 12th or intermediate with a minimum of 50% marks required in the final exam.
• Candidates must have cleared Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelors of Education with a minimum of 45% marks.
• Students who are in their final year of EIEd / Bachelor of Education can also apply for this exam.

For Exam 2 (Paper 2)

• The minimum educational qualification required is a Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Tech) with aggregate marks of 45% to 50%.
• Candidates must have cleared in Diploma in Education (EIEd) / Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
• Students pursuing their final year in EIEd / B.Ed. can also apply for this exam.
