HTET Exam Pattern 2025

Below, Check the Details Regarding the Haryana TET Exam Pattern.

✍ HTET Paper comprises multiple-choice questions. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. You can see the HTET Exam Pattern 2025 for all papers below.

✍ Level I – For becoming a Primary Teacher for Classes I - Vth: 

Aspirant candidates should need to appear for only one paper. There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and each question carries one mark. In the question paper, you will have four alternative choices in which you have to anyone answer. The total No. of MCQs are 150 and the time duration of the examination will be Two-and-a-half hours.

The level of competition for the HTET Exam is expected to be very high because of the number of applicants who applied for this exam. Candidates can check the sample papers, it could help to learn all the HTET Exam Pattern 2025 and solve it before the competitive exam comes. Candidates can solve it within the given time and know about the question pattern. It is good to know the HTET Exam Pattern before appearing for the written test because the sample paper makes candidates easy to understand the pattern and also it saves time. 

Exam Pattern of Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test will be as follows:

  • This exam is based on a pen and paper or written examination, it also means it is offline mode.
  • HTET Exam will be written in Objective types question also called MCQs questions.
  • The exam will be of 150 multiple choice type questions.
  • And also, the exam will be 1 mark for each MCQ question.
  • The duration of the TET exam will be of 2:30 hours.

  • Level III – For becoming a Post-graduate Teacher for Classes IX-XII: 

Aspirant candidates should need to appear for only one paper. There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and each question carries one mark. In the question paper, you will have four alternative choices in which you have to anyone answer. The total No. of MCQs are 150 and the time duration of the examination will be Two-and-a-half hours.

Important Note (For All Levels):

  1. Candidates who are currently studying in the final year of the professional degree are also eligible to apply for the Haryana TET Exam. Their candidature by the appointing authority, however, shall be considered only when they have acquired the minimum qualification.
  2. The condition of having qualified “Secondary/ Matric” with Hindi/Sanskrit OR Sr. Secondary/ Graduation/ Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects will be applicable at the time of applying for the post of Teacher and not for appearing in the HTET.

Language Of Question Papers: All questions except those concerning language subjects, will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English.

VII. Frequency of Conduct of HTET, Number of Available Attempts to Appear, and Validity Period of HTET Certificate:

(i) The Validity Period of the HTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be five years from the date of declaration of result for all levels.

Improvement in HTET Score: Candidates who have qualified STET/ HTET can improve their performance in it.
