HTET Exam Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for HTET 2025, candidates must check out the eligibility criteria to verify whether they are eligible or not. If candidates do not fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the notification pdf, then their application will be rejected. The eligibility criteria in the form of educational qualifications are as follows.

Eligibility Criteria for PRT 

• Metric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or Senior Secondary/Graduation/ Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects. (AND)
• Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary/10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% Marks and Pass/Appear in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed. (OR)
• Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary/10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% Marks and Pass/Appear in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed. (OR)
• Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary/10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% Marks and Pass/Appear in the final year of 4 year Bachelor in El.Ed. (OR)
• Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary/10+2 Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% Marks and Pass/Appear in the final year of 2 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). (OR)
• Graduation and Passed/ Appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed.

Eligibility Criteria for TGT 

Candidates must have completed their B.A. in Any Stream with 50% Marks + 2 Year D.El.ED with 50% Marks + B Ed/ Special B Ed Degree. 

Eligibility Criteria for PGT 

Candidates must have completed their M.A. in the required subject with 50% marks + B.Ed

HTET 2025 Age Limit

For the candidates, the minimum age should not be less than 18 years and the maximum age should not exceed more than 43 years in order to apply for HTET 2025. Category-wise age limit is provided below in the table.
