Delhi University Exam: Delhi University or simply DU is a collegiate public university, which means in other words DU is composed of many different colleges. Located in New Delhi, Delhi University has two campuses, namely North Campus and South Campus with around 90 colleges and 16 faculties affiliated to the Delhi University name.
Founded and established in the year 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly, its main functions include academic excellence to students pursuing higher studies in any course or degree, irrespective of gender, caste, nationality, etc. Consisting of only three colleges, two faculties, and over seven hundred students, it has now achieved the status of one of the oldest, largest, and reputed universities in the country.
The Vice President of India serves as the university Vice-Chancellor among one of the visitors being the President of India. DU is one of the most sought-after public universities of higher education in India and also has one of the highest publication counts among Indian Universities. There are two campuses of DU, as mentioned before, namely the North Campus and the South Campus.
The North Campus has over 13 colleges spread over the northern area of Delhi, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law and Management along with housing other centres and institutes of Delhi Schools and Colleges along with centres.

The South Campus was started by the University of Delhi in the year 1973 as an effort to control the wide number of students and faculties, that is in an effort to control the expansion. The various departments located in the South Campus include the Faculty of Arts, Interdisciplinary, Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The Delhi University Exam has 65 colleges that provide liberal courses in humanities, science, and social sciences. It also has around 86 academic departments divided into 16 faculties.

The University of Delhi offers over 240 courses available at the university for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are 75 courses that are provided at the undergraduate level for 3 year time spans. Apart from them, the university offers around 70 postgraduate courses and degrees for its students. The university also offers degrees and courses at the M.Phil level in about 28 subjects, over 90 certificate courses, and around 28 diploma-level courses.
DU also provides 15 advanced diploma programs offered in languages and Ph.D. courses in a variety of medical, humanities, and arts streams. The Delhi University Exam 2025 scheme for undergraduate courses may be slightly different for postgraduate courses. The examinations are conducted at the end of each semester as per the academic calendar issued by the university. Each and every course is semester based and examinations are held after every semester ends. Each course also contains two components, namely, internal assessment and end-of-semester examination. Students are likewise graded on both these components.
The pass percentage and promotion criteria are set by the university authorities for every course. The minimum marks required to pass any paper in a semester is around 40% in theory and 40% in the practical examinations, wherever applicable. He or she is required to score 40 % in theory and 40% in practical examinations in both the end of the semester and end-of-year examinations.
Candidates can reappear for any semester examination they have failed to pass, provided they fulfill some criteria and guidelines. There are no supplementary examinations for the students of undergraduate courses and the span to complete the course is around six years from the year of admission into the first semester.
Candidates who score more than 60% are considered to gain first division, more than 50% and less than 60% are awarded second division, and more than 40% and less than 50% are given the third division. Below this, candidates are considered to fail and need to reappear for the examinations.
The Delhi University Exam 2025 or DUET 2025 is a national state-level entrance exam conducted to grant admission to students interested in any of the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, research degrees, and programs. It is conducted once a year at the time of admissions in the month of July or August. In most cases, the entrance exam for DUET 2025 is conducted on the North Campus.
The examination consists of both objective and subjective based questions, with a maximum score of 100 marks, and the merit list is created on the basis of the marks obtained by the students who appeared for the entrance exam.
