CUCET Exam Pattern 2024

Central University Entrance Test is a national level entrance test which is conducted by NTA to provide admissions to various UG, PG, and Integrated courses offered by Central universities and their affiliated colleges. Earlier only 12 central universities used to participate in the CUCET exam but recently CUCET (now CUET) has been made compulsory for all the central universities to provide admissions to the undergraduate degree programs. All the UGC-funded universities will have to consider the scores of the CUET 2024 exam for admitting the candidates to the various Bachelor's degree programs. Apart from UG degrees, many central universities will also consider CUCET scores for admitting the students into postgraduate degree programs.

CUCET Exam Pattern 2024:

The NTA will release CUET 2024 Exam Pattern along with the official CUET Notification 2024 and information brochure. As per the last announcement of UGC, CUET 2024 will be held in the first week of July in computer-based mode. The CUET Exam 2024 will be divided into two parts section A and Section B. There will be 100 object-type questions in the CUET Exam 2024. All the candidates will be given a duration of 2 hours to solve the entire question paper. The exam will be held in 13 languages as per UGC, this will help the candidates to choose their preferred language.

• Type of Question: Only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the CUCET examination.
• Parts: The CUCET exam will be conducted in two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B.
• Part A: This part contains topics from the English language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude, and analytical skills.
• Part B: This section is divided into three sections and encompasses a total of 75 MCQs from the domain knowledge.
• Duration: The CUCET exam duration is 2 hours.
• Exam Mode: The CUCET exam is organized through offline mode.
• Marking Scheme: Three marks are given for every correct answer.
• Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

CUCET Exam Pattern 2024 is such that the question papers for all the courses contain a total of 100 multiple choice questions that students have to answer within the duration of two hours. Each paper is divided into parts – Part A and Part B. Though, Part B may be further divided into some sections which depend on the course a candidate is applying for. Every section of Part B will have 25 or more questions.

Candidates appearing in the CUET Exam 2024 for BSc, Integrated MSc Courses (Science Strea,) must know that it is mandatory for them to attend Section I and Section II. On the other hand Section, III and Section IV are optional, candidates must have to choose any one of them. In simple words, the evaluation will be done on the basis of three sections which will be Section I, Section II, and Section III/Section IV.

CUET Exam Pattern 2024 for BSc. Integrated MSc. (Psychology, Geology, Geography and Economics):

The exam pattern for BSc integrated MSc courses (Psychology, Geography, Geology, and Economics)  will be different from other BSc. integrated courses. There will be 100 questions asked in the exam from the following subjects: Language subject (English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia), Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, reasoning, General Aptitude.
