CA Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

To qualify at the CA Foundation level., students must adhere to the eligibility criteria established by ICAI. It entails passing the 12th grade or equivalent examination in a recognized board. 

At the CA Intermediate Level, there are two ways through which students can be eligible:

CA Foundation route - In each subject, students must achieve a total mark of 50 % and at least 40 % on the CA Foundation test.
Direct route - Candidates from various academic backgrounds can apply directly, provided they meet the eligibility criteria, which states that Commerce students must obtain a minimum of 55% marks, while science students need to score at least 60% marks in their graduation.

Final

As far as the CA Final Level is concerned, a candidate needs to clear both groups of intermediate level and have completed at least 2.5 years of traineeship training in a recognized company.
