NIOS Board 12th Result 2025: The National Institute of Open Schooling conducts the Secondary and Senior Secondary exams for students who are unable to appear for the regular exams. NIOS is an autonomous organization that falls under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The NIOS Senior Secondary exams are held in 2 phases- Phase I in April/May and Phase II exams in October/November. Candidates can appear for the exams at their own suitable time.

The NIOS 12th Result will be declared on the official website and candidates who have appeared for the exams can download their results from there. Other than the official website, candidates can also receive their NIOS Board 12th Result 2025 via SMS on their registered mobile number. The Process to download the NIOS 12th Board Result 2025:

Steps:

• Visit the official website of NIOS.
• Select and click on the Result menu bar on the home page.
• The menu bar will show the link for Secondary and Senior Secondary exams.
• Select the Senior Secondary exam option.
• Click the link on “Check Result”.
• Enter your NIOS enrolment number and fill in the captcha code.
• Now click the submit button.
• Wait for some time.
• Your NIOS Board 12th Result will appear on the screen.
• Download the result and take a printout for further reference.
• Take a printout of your NIOS Senior Secondary result for future reference.

• Candidates can also check their National Institute of Open Schooling Results on their registered mobile number via SMS.
• Steps:
• Open the SMS application on your mobile phone.
• Type the message in the format that you want to send. In this case, it is the NIOS Board 12th exam 2025.
• Type your exam roll number as printed on your Admit Card.
• Send it to 5676750.
• You will receive a reply on the same number.

Important facts of the NIOS 12th Result mark sheet: 2025

• Candidates can get their provisional mark sheet from the official website by entering the details mentioned in the NIOS 12th Admit Card 2025.
• Candidates can collect their original mark sheet from the respective accredited Institute of NIOS after the declaration of the Result.
• The original mark sheet has to be collected by the candidates personally after providing the necessary details. It must be noted that the original mark sheets of the candidates will not be sent via post.
• The passing criteria of the NIOS 12th Exam Result are that the candidate must obtain 33% marks in the overall aggregate.
• Candidates must also get 33% marks separately in the Theory and Practical exams that they have appeared for.

Can you apply for rechecking of your mark sheet if you are not satisfied with the NIOS Senior Secondary Result?

Yes, candidates can apply for rechecking of the mark sheet within 15 days of the declaration of the result.

Steps:

• Students will have to apply online for rechecking of the Theory mark sheet of the NIOS exam.
• Candidates must apply for revaluation of the NIOS 12th Board Result within the given window.
• For each subject, the candidate has to pay an application fee of INR 300.
• In the rechecking process, all the answers of the candidate will be checked and ensured that it has been evaluated. The total marks will also be checked separately for each subject.
• After proper evaluation, the revised mark sheet will be sent to the candidate within the designated time.
• In the process of rechecking the mark sheet, the marks of the NIOS Board 12th Exam 2025 may increase, decrease, or remain the same.
• New marks will only be awarded to the candidates if there is an increase of 5% of the marks. If the increase in marks is below 5% then there will be no change in the exam result.

NIOS 12th Result improvement exams:

Candidates who could not pass one or more subjects of the NIOS exams can apply for the improvement exam on the official website. Students have to pay a mandatory fee for each subject of the improvement exam that they are applying for. If the student could not pass the practical exam of any subject it is mandatory to appear for both the theory and practical exams once again.
