NIOS 12th Registration Form 2025: The National Institute of Open Schooling 12th exams has been formed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Candidates who cannot appear for the regular Board exams due to their own reasons can apply for the NIOS 12th Board exams. This exam is not time-bound and takes place twice a year in the months of April/May and October/November.

NIOS Block I and Block II Application Schedule:

• Block I Application

For the applicants who registered or appeared in April/May 2025 exams, the registration process will begin on June 10 and will continue till June 30.

The facility to apply for the online registration with a late fee of Rs.100 will be conducted from July 1 to July 10, 2025, and a consolidated late fee of Rs.1500 will start from July 11 to July 20.

• Block II Application

The public exam for NIOS class 12th will be conducted in October-November 2025. The registration fees will be accepted through online mode only.

The exam fee is Rs 250 per subject and additional fees for practical in subjects having theory and practical components are Rs 120.

The minimum eligibility requirements are mentioned below:

• The minimum age limit for NIOS 12th exam is 15 years as of 31st July. Candidates who are born before or on 31st July can also fill in the NIOS 12th Application form 2025.
• Candidates must qualify for the Class 10 exams from a recognized Board. 
• Candidates who have just passed the Class 10 exams will not be allowed to sit for all the subjects of the NIOS exam in a single attempt.
• Candidates must first Register with the NIOS portal before filling in the Application form.
• Candidates must have a Class 10 pass Certificate issued by a recognized Board.
• Candidates must have a valid address and ID proof.
• Candidates must have 2 recent passports size photographs to be uploaded while filling in the Application form.

• The homepage for NIOS exams will appear on the screen.

• Read the given instructions carefully.
• Select the State and the exam that you are applying for.

• Enter details like address, email ID, date of birth, and mobile number correctly.

• Birth Certificate or Proof of Date of birth of the candidate
• Aadhar Card/Passport/Ration Card of the candidate.
• Valid proof of residence (Aadhar Card with address/passport/Ration card/Electricity Bill/Water bill). If the candidate is living in rented accommodation, then upload a copy of the permanent address along with the present Rent agreement.
• Class 10th mark sheet for candidates appearing for the NIOS 12th exam.
• Recent passport size photograph.
• Signature of the candidate (in black ink).
• Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
• Disability certificate for the PwD candidates.
• Ex-serviceman certificate (if the candidate is an ex-serviceman).
• Fail mark sheet of the previous Board exam. The result should be available on the website of the concerned Board or the candidate can also submit the result verification letter issued by the concerned Board.

Candidates must pay the Admission fee for the successful form submission. The Application fee must be paid online in any of the given modes of credit card/Debit Card/Net Banking. The Application fee must be paid within the given date as mentioned on the website of NIOS.
