IIT BHU Varanasi Admission 2026: How to Apply

IIT (BHU) Varanasi Admission Process 2026:

IIT (BHU) follows the standard IIT admission process. All admissions are through centralized national entrance exams.

B.Tech & IDD (Integrated Dual Degree) Admission

Clear JEE Main then JEE Advanced. Seat allotment through JoSAA counselling. IIT (BHU) offers around 1,100 B.Tech and IDD seats — one of the largest intakes among all IITs. CSE cutoff is around rank 1,000-1,500. Unique branches like Ceramic (6,000-8,000) and Mining (5,000-7,000) have more accessible cutoffs.

M.Tech Admission

Through GATE score. Over 30 specializations available. Some departments also conduct interviews for shortlisted candidates.

MBA Admission

Through CAT score followed by GD and personal interview. The Department of Management Studies runs a 2-year MBA programme.

Ph.D Admission

Based on GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET with written test and interview. Monthly fellowship of Rs. 31,000-35,000. Admissions twice a year (July and January).
