The Banaras Hindu Univerisity is situated in Varanasi which is also known as a holy city. This university is internationally reputed as this is known as one of the creative and innovative universities founded by the leader Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in the year 1916. Only because of the cooperation of Dr. Annie Basand, the formation of this university has been possible.

This university was under the parliamentary legislation- Banaras Hindu University [BHU] Act 1915. In the independence movement, this university played a very important role and became one of the popular learning centers in India.

Many of the great freedom fighters have been produced from here as well as and in the nation’s progress there is a great contribution as from there a large number of artists, renowned scholars, technologists, and scientists have come out who are immensely proud of the country.

The main area of this university consists of 1,300 acres which have extensive greenery, well-maintained roads, and an artship along the best architectural buildings. For military training, the airfield of the campus was started at the time of the Second World War.

The university consists of 6 advanced studies along with the Four Degree Colleges of the city, a massive number of specialized Research Centers, and 10 departments under special assistance.

The student strength of this university is 15,000 which belongs to all castes, religions, races, and streams. Also, the total number of teachers is 1,700 along with the 8,000 non-teaching staff. The students are invited from all the different countries like Asia, Middle East Africa, Europe, etc.

Courses & Eligibility in Institute of Management Studies

1. Doctoral Program in Management Studies (Ph.D)

Doctoral programs in known as one of the highest academic degrees which is also awarded in the study of management science. Those who are seeking academic research and teaching careers as professors in the study of management at business schools worldwide can go for this degree.

Eligibility:

Master’s degree in Business Management (M.B.M.), Management Studies/ Management Sciences (M.M.S.), Business Administration (M.B.A.), International Business Administration (M.I.B.A.), International Business (M.I.B.), M.B.A. (Agri-Business) OR two year PGP/PGDM declared equivalent to Master’s Degree in Management by AIU/accredited by AICTE/UGC or First class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.

Qualifying marks:

Candidates are required to pass at least 60% in the aggregate or equivalent grade to qualify for the exam.

2. Master's Program in Business Administration (MBA)

It helps students to get theoretical and practical training for investment management and business. For a better understanding of the general business and management functions, this MBA Degree has been designed.

Eligibility

Minimum 50% marks in aggregate at the Bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law / a postgraduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. For SC/ST candidates 45% mark is required.

3. P.G. Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA)

Students will be getting a comprehensive overview of the practices of business management and practices which will depend on the best practices and latest research. If you wish to apply for the MBA, BBA & BCA but you are unable to process the admission procedure. So, here are the steps that you are required to follow.

You are required to register by adding all the essential details.
After the registration there will be an email ID and password will be provided to you.
Use that and log in to fill up the application form.
