Paper pattern of ParaMilitary Forces exam

The CAPF Exam pattern consists of three rounds that include written exams, Physical fitness tests and interviews. A candidate has to qualify for all three rounds of the exam to join the Paramilitary forces.

Written Exam-

  • This consists of 2 papers - Paper I and Paper II
  • Paper I include General Ability and Intelligence 
  • Paper-II include General Studies, Essay and Comprehension
  • The questions are objective type with multiple choice answers.
  • The Communication and Language skills must be written in English while the Essay component can be written in English or Hindi as preferred by the candidate.

Physical Efficiency Test-

The candidates who have cleared their written tests will undergo physical efficiency tests. The test standards are different for both male and female candidates and they have to meet the given criteria for qualifying for the Physical Fitness test
