National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG 2023

NEET PG 2023 Exam:

NEET PG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is an entrance-based examination test, held all over India, for the students who wish to have a brilliant future at the postgraduate level into MD/MS and PG diploma courses. The NEET PG 2023 Exam is supervised by the National Board of Examination (NBE) every year. The Dates for NEET PG 2023 have been revealed.

The Exam is held once a year in the month of January and is a computer-based test. Students qualifying for the entrance exam will be eligible for further counseling processes. NEET has substituted the AIPGMEE (All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination) and DNB CET,  in the opinion of the Supreme Court Directive.

  • The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry
  • Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow
  • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum.

Updated Features in NEET 2023:

  • The question paper will be divided into 3 sections - Section A, Section B, and Section C covering 50, 100, and 150 questions, sequentially.
  • Last year, the exam was held in 129 cities but this year NBE (National Board of Examination) has added 19 news NEET PG exam cities, which makes a total of 148 trial cities.
  • There has been a substitution in the NEET PG exam this year with new timings scheduled from 03:30 PM to 07:00 PM.
  • A change has been done in the tie-making method to determine the NEET PG Exam merit list 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG 2023:

  • Applicants need to assure that they meet the NEET PG 2023 eligibility criteria before they fill out the application form for the exam.
  • Applicants are required to hold a recognized Masters's degree (MBBS).
  • According to the eligibility norms of NEET PG Exam 2023, a one-year internship by March 31, 2023, is required.
  • According to the NEET PG 2023 eligibility criteria, applicants are required to carry their Aadhar card.
  • Applicants must possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

The entrance exam for NEET PG is conducted once a year in the month of January. The registration form for the same is available 2 months before the exams. A demo test is conducted one month before the exam, in order to make the candidates familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern.
