The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is a body formed by the Constitution of India to recruit candidates for civil services in the state of Bihar on the merits of the applicants.
The Bihar Public Service Commission first began its functioning for the State of Bihar with its headquarters at Ranchi. The State Government decided to shift the headquarters of the Commission from Ranchi to Patna and it was finally moved to Patna on 1st March 1951.

The BPSC selection process is divided into three stages
Moreover, the BPSC preliminary exam will consist of a total of 150 marks, followed by the main exam of 900 marks and the interview of 120 marks. Candidates should secure at least the minimum marks and clear the cut-off marks of all the selection stages to get themselves enrolled in the BPSC.
