NIOS Board 10th 2025

The National Institute of Open Schooling conducts the Secondary and the Senior Secondary exams and is under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The main objective of NIOS is to provide primary, secondary and senior secondary education to students including the differently-abled and the specially-abled students.NIOS also conducts teacher training and elementary education programs.

The NIOS 10th Board exam is held twice a year in the months of March-April and October/November. The medium of instruction for the NIOS 10th Board is English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Oriya, Punjabi, and Malayalam. The Application Process for the NIOS 10th Board is online and interested students must meet the eligibility requirements of the exam.

Eligibility Criteria of NIOS 10th Board Exam:

Students who want to appear for the NIOS 10th Board exams must fulfill the following eligibility requirements.

• Passed the Class 8th exam with valid age proof of attaining 14 years at the time of application.
• The minimum age limit for applying for the NIOS 10th Board exam is 14 years and there is no maximum age limit for application.
• The students must give a self-declaration that they have enough education to pursue the Secondary course and apply for the Secondary course.
• Students who have completed the Secondary level of education elsewhere can also apply for NIOS 10th Board to improve their performance.
