Goa Board 10th Exam 2024: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) is the administrative body that every year conducts examinations for the State Board of Education in Goa (a state in India). It is responsible for secondary and higher secondary education management in the school which is affiliated with it. It is the state education board of Goa that conducts the Goa Board 10th exam & 12th exam every academic year.

Goa Board was founded on 27 May 1975 under "The Goa, Daman and Diu Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975". It is an education board native to the state of Goa.

GBSHSE aims to provide recognition to the school/institution of its territory and to pay special attention to the improvement of its affiliated institutions. Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education conducts board exams for class SSC/10th & HSSC/12th.

Goa Board 10th Duties and Responsibilities:

Major Functions performed by the Goa Board are narrowed below:

• Grants recognition to the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools.
• The board advised the government on matters of policy relating to secondary and higher secondary education in general and other matters.
• Lay down guiding principles regarding curriculum and syllabus for the entire secondary and higher secondary courses and to prepare the detailed syllabus for all standards of secondary and higher secondary education.
• Goa Board encourages and advises the Government for the standard requirement in respect of staff, equipment, buildings, furniture, stationery, and other amenities required for secondary and higher secondary schools.
• Prescribe and administer textbooks for all standards of secondary and higher secondary education.
