Eligibility Criteria for Admission in SLIET:

For Admission, the candidate must have a score of a minimum of 50-55% in 10+2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as main subjects. The final selection will be based on JEE Main entrance exam followed by JosAA counseling or university-based SLIET-SET entrance test score.

For B.E (lateral Entry)

The candidate might have to appear in the SLIET SET-III Entrance test. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the admission or university-based entrance test is that the candidate must have passed a Diploma course in Engineering or any equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). 

For Diploma courses

The candidate must have completed his/her class 10th, for admission, the candidate has to appear in the SLIET SET-I university entrance test and get a valid score.

For lateral entry in Diploma courses

The candidate must have done a 2-year ITI/Certificate course/10+2 (vocational) with two years of recognized industrial experience. The final admissions are based on the result of the University-based entrance test SLIET SET-1A.

The candidate must acquire a B.Tech/B.E/B.Sc (Engineering) degree with minimum 60% (55% for reserved category) Admissions in 2-year M.Tech Program is given on the basis of GATE Entrance test or SLIET Entrance test score.

For Admissions in MSc. program

The candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance exams such as CCMN/PU-CET (PG)- 2024/JAM2024/CUCET-2024/ SLIET SET.

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in any relevant specialization with a minimum percentage of 55% (50% for reserved category). Admissions in M.B.A Programs are granted on the basis of the score they got in entrance examinations such as GATE, CAT, CMAT, or university-based entrance Test SLIET-SET.

The minimum eligibility requirement for applying for admissions in P.h.D program, the candidate must acquire a Master’s degree in Relevant Discipline such as Engineering / Technology / Science / Humanities / Management with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their JRF or SLIET SET-V score.

How To Apply For The SLIET Entrance Test Conducted By the University ?

Students who want to get admission to the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, the candidate might have to appear in the SLIET-SET entrance test conducted by the university itself. To apply for the entrance test Please follow the given steps below :

1. Visit the official website of the university www.sliet.ac.in and click on the "Admissions" tab available on the right.

2. Now you will be redirected to another page where you can find "instructions for filling online application", Read all the instructions carefully.

3. You can find the "New Registration/Login" tab, click on the tab, Register yourself by entering the required details like name, course, DOB, etc.

4. After registration, you will receive a confirmation message on your email or mobile no.

5. Now you need to log in, After login Fill in all the details in the form and upload your required documents.

6. Complete the application process by paying the application fee. After submitting the application form and application fee, the candidate will get an SMS on his / her Mobile and email on the registered email id that will ensure his/her provisional registration successfully with a Form Number and Password. After submitting the form, take a print-out of your form and note down your form no. for future use. Also, Once the payment is confirmed, take PRINT of Registration Page and post it to Chairman SET 2024, SLIET, Longowal-148106, District Sangrur (Punjab).

1. Rs 1750 for Boys (General & other Categories)
2. Rs 1250 for Girls (General & other categories)
3. Rs 1000 for ST/SC Categories (for boys & girls)

Hostel of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology

The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology has separate 9 Boys Hostel and 4 Girls hostel.

The allocation of the hostel are as follows:

• The capacity of Boys hostel is 230 each and 80 of  Boys PG Hostel
• 5 Three-sharing Boys Hostels for Certificate and Diploma students.
• 2 Single seater Boys hostel for Prefinal and final year Degree students
• 1 Three sharing Boys hostel for first-year degree students.
• 1 Hostel for PG Course students
• The University also has 4 Girl’s hostels, having a capacity of 230 students and the PG Girl’s hostel's capacity is 81.
