Eligibility Criteria to take Admission to Dr. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar

• Eligibility Criteria to apply for admissions in B.Tech Program which is offered in 11 different streams, a candidate must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects. The candidate must also appear in JEE-Main Examinations and must obtain a valid score and rank in the same. The final selection is based on JoSAA Counselling conducted by the exam conducting authority.
• For Admission to the MBA course, the candidate must acquire a Bachelor’s degree in any stream along with a minimum of 60% marks (6.5 CGPA) upon graduation. The candidate must also appear in the CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT entrance exam, if the candidate doesn’t qualify for any of these entrance exams then he/she can appear in the Entrance test conducted by the Institute followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.
• The minimum Eligibility Criteria to apply for admission in the M.Tech course offered by NIT Jalandhar is that the candidate must have a B.E/B.Tech degree in the relevant stream along with at least 60% marks in the final examinations. The admissions in the M.Tech course are based on your GATE score followed by CCMT Counseling. The final seats will be allotted during the counseling.
• For admission in an M.Sc course offered by NIT Jalandhar, the candidate must hold a B.Sc degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% of aggregate marks in the Final exams. For admission, the candidate must have an IIT JAM score and must attend CCMN Counselling.
• NIT Jalandhar also offers a PhD program across many streams, for admission in the P.h.D program the candidate must complete his/her Master's/ post-graduation in a relevant stream with at least 60% marks in the finals. The Institute grants admission based on the score on the Written test which is conducted by the Institute itself. Qualified candidates have to appear for Presentation and Personal Interview rounds. The candidates who will score at least 40% marks in the Entrance Test will be called for the Interview round. The Institute will give priority to the students who have qualified UGC/CSIR/GATE/NET. Please note that the candidates who want to pursue PhD in Humanities, Science, or Management discipline must qualify for JRF/NET/GATE.

Hostel of Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar

Dr. Ambedkat National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar also offers Hostel facilities to their students, for new admissions, there are 2 boys' hostels and 1 girls' Hostel. All the basic amenities are provided in the Hostel. Hostel rooms are well-ventilated and are allotted on a sharing basis.

As per information available on the official website of NIT, Jalandhar the Students have to pay Mess Advance and Mess Caution money, which is Rs 21,000+Rs 5,000= Rs 26,000, The mess Caution money(Rs 5000) is Refundable. The payment can be done through Demand Draft in the favor of the Respective Hostel mess account or can be directly transferred into the bank account of the respective hostel.
