MCC Counseling is an acknowledged counseling procedure that is organized or conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), particularly for selection into various medical courses, especially NEET, across India. If we talk about what an MCC is, then it is an autonomous or government organization under the Directorate General of Health Services, and it is also associated with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Moreover, there are two different types of counseling in MCC Counselling: One is Undergraduate Counseling and the other is Super Specialty Counseling. Let us know about these two variations in detail below:
Particularly, MCC Counselling provides admission to courses like MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing for the relevant seats reserved under the All India Quota (AIQ), along with institutional quota, or domicile of Central Universities like the University of Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, and others.
The counseling also includes institutions like the Armed Forces Medical College, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), etc. Moreover, the MCC Counseling is also helpful for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER. For more help you can directly contact us.

Now, there are certain steps for the Counselling process that candidates are bound to follow. The Counselling process can only be completed by following the steps mentioned below:
1. Release of Seat Matrix - According to the seat matrix that will be released by the MCC, 15% of the total seats in the participating universities’ BDS, and MBBA courses will be considered the All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
2. Registration - In order to apply for the Counselling round, candidates are required to register themselves for each and every round, except for the vacancy round. Candidates can register themselves online on the official web portal where they have to enter basic information including roll number, contact details, rank or score of NEET 2025, and all other required details. They will also be asked to pay a refundable security fee, along with a non-refundable fee.
3. Choice Filling - A tentative list of preferred colleges must be prepared by the students which should be prepared after researching the seats available in a particular college. This is because now they have to enter their preferred colleges into which they wish to get selected. Registered candidates can use their login information to access the MCC web portal @mcc nicin and enter their list of choices.
4. Choice Locking - In this step, you have to lock the options you have entered. It is suggested to lock the options during the locking time in order to obtain the printout of the choices you entered. MCC has also advised to not wait until the last minute and to lock in your suggestions as soon as you can. Additionally, you should also check the options you have entered before submitting or locking it. It is important to check the options entered because once locked and submitted, there’s no alternative to changing it and it will lead to allocation of a seat you don’t desire. So, be aware while choosing and locking.
5. Verification by Universities and Processing of Seat Allotment - Now, the universities will verify your details, and according to that the MCC will release the list of seat allotment. Note that the seat allocations will be based on your qualifications.
6. Seat Allotment Result - After all the above processes, the MCC will release the seal allotment result. It is noteworthy that the MCC will release the provisional result first to which candidates can raise objections if they have any queries, and after this, the final results will be released along with the seat allotment. According to the list, you can visit the reporting institution, and you can also appeal to upgrade your seats.
7. Document Upload - Selected candidates now have to upload all the essential and required documents in the prescribed format. Candidates can get the list of necessary documents from the official web page of the institute.
8. Institute Reporting - It is time for you to explore the allotted institute. You can look for an in-campus hostel for the room if needed. You will now be required to verify the hard copies and pay the admission fees.
