National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education has finally released NIRF Ranking 2021 lists under the categories of Management, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, University, Research, Architecture, etc. Usually, MOE releases the NIRF Ranking list in the April month of the year, but this year the release of the NIRF ranking list got delayed due to the COVID-19 situation in India.

  • Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research ranked 14th in this year's NIRF Medical Ranking.
  • Aligarh Muslim University is constant on the 15th position as ranked in the 2020 rankings as well.
  • Madras Medical College & Government General Hospital has fallen from 12th rank to 16th rank this year.
  • Again, Maulana Azad Medical College is ranked 17th by NIRF for the 2nd consecutive year.
  • Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital is ranked 18th in NIRF Medical rankings followed by Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth and S.R.M Institute of Science and Technology on 19th and 10th position.

The admissions to all of these Medical Colleges are based on NEET Entrance Exam scores except Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, the institute conducts its own entrance exam JIPMER to offer admissions in the medical courses, Candidates who wish to get admission into a medical college especially in an MBBS or a BDS Course, must have to qualify a NEET Entrance Exam.
