WBJEE Exam Pattern 2026

WBJEE 2026 Exam Pattern:

WBJEE Question Paper will consist of a total of 150 questions from the subjects:

★ Physics
★ Chemistry
★ Mathematics
★ Biology

The questions will come in the MCQ format. Paper-I will consist of Physics and Chemistry which will be conducted in the first slot and the Paper-II will consist of questions coming from Mathematics and Biology which will be held in the second slot.

WBJEE Marking Scheme 2026:

In this section, we have specified the distribution of marks from the total number of questions in the WBJEE question paper. There will be 3 categories of questions coming from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Category 1: The candidate will have to choose only one correct answer.

• The correct response will result in one mark.
• An incorrect attempt will deduct -¼ mark.
• If a candidate has given more than one response to a question in this section, it will be treated as an incorrect attempt which will deduct -¼ mark.

Category 2: The candidate will have to choose only one correct answer.

• The correct response will result in one mark.
• An incorrect attempt will deduct -¼ mark.
• If a candidate has given more than one response to a question in this section, it will be treated as an incorrect attempt which will deduct -¼ mark.

Category 3: Candidates will have to choose one or more correct answers.

• The correct attempt will provide 2 marks.
• The combination of correct and incorrect responses will be treated as incorrect answers and will result in 0 marks.

Important Points Regarding WBJEE Exam Pattern 2026:

• The WBJEE Exam Pattern 2026 will be defined by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.
• The questions coming in the WBJEE Exam 2026 will be from the syllabus we have mentioned in the syllabus section of this article.
• Candidates will have to appear in both Papers I and Paper II.
• Aspiring candidates who are seeking admission to Engineering courses have to appear for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics papers.
• Aspiring candidates who are seeking admission in Pharmacy courses will have to appear for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics papers.
