UPPCL JE Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Under the UPPCL JE Exam Notification, the eligibility criteria for appearing in the UPPCL JE  Exam is also given and it is divided into 2 sections. The first one is Age Limit Criteria and the second one is Educational Qualification Criteria.     

• For UPPCL JE (Electrical)

• Age Limit Eligibility Criteria 

For appearing in the UPPCL JE Exam 2024, the candidates must have attained the minimum age and must be less than the maximum age prescribed as of 01.01.2024:

Maximum Age	18 years
Minimum Age	40 years

Provisions Related to Relaxation in Upper Limit of Age:

• Apprenticeship Training under Apprenticeship Act, 1961- Actual Period, subject to maximum 24 months.
• “SC, ST, OBC (NCL)” of Uttar Pradesh Domicile-5 years.
• Ex-Servicemen who had served a minimum of 5 years in Armed Forces of India- (Completed Service Years+Three Years)- Maximum 15 years. 
• Dependents of Freedom Fighters- 5 years. 
• Physically Handicapped (OA/OL/PB/PD only)- 15 years. 

However, the Maximum Age of the Candidate availing of all the relaxations shall not exceed 55 years. 

• Educational Qualification Criteria
• Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of Hindi (Devanagari Script). If the candidate has not passed High School or equivalent examination in Hindi, he/she has to clear an examination conducted by the Registrar, Department Examination Govt. of U.P. within 3 years of joining.
• The candidate must have passed:
  • Three (3) Years Diploma Education in Electrical Engineering awarded by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a Diploma, equivalent thereto, recognized by the State Government.

• • Three (3) Years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India.

                                        OR

• • Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State Legislature. 

✍ Note: The DIploma received through Distance Learning Education will not be eligible. 

• For UPPCL JE (Civil)

• Age Limit Eligibility Criteria 

For appearing in the UPPCL JE (Civil) Exam 2024, the candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years as of 01.01.2024:

Provisions Related to Relaxation in Upper Limit of Age:

• Apprenticeship Training under Apprenticeship Act, 1961- Actual Period, subject to maximum 24 months.
• “SC, ST, OBC (NCL)” of Uttar Pradesh Domicile-5 years.

The candidate must produce a certificate from the head of the institution from which he has passed out or from a gazette officer in Uttar Pradesh that he can read and write Hindi in Devanagari Script with ease, provided that such certificate will not be necessary in the case of a candidate who passed the High School or an equivalent examination with Hindi or who has obtained a degree, diploma or certificate of any Hindi Examination from an Institution recognized by State Government. 
• A candidate must have passed:
  • Three (3) Years Diploma Examination in Civil Engineering awarded by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or a Diploma, equivalent thereto, recognized by the State Government.
