TS EDCET Exam: TS EDCET is the Telangana State Education common entrance test that is conducted by the Osmania University for the State of Telangana. The TS EDCET 2025 Exam takes place for the admission of the candidates to the Education Colleges of Telangana. The organizing authority for the exams is the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

TS EDCET Exam General Eligibility Criteria

1. The lower age limit of candidates applying for the Telangana State Education common entrance test must be a minimum of 19 years of age on 1st July.
2. There is no upper age limit for the TS EDCET 2025 Exam.
3. Candidates must be a citizen of India.
4. Candidates must fulfill the local/non-local status requirement as laid down by Telangana Educational Institutions as laid down by order 1974.

TS EDCET Exam Educational Qualification of the Candidate:

1. Candidates must qualify for their Graduation or a 5 year integrated Post Graduate program with a minimum of 50% marks. The disciplines in which a candidate can complete the graduation are as follows: BA, B.Sc, BBM, BTech, B.Sc( Home Science), B.Com, BE.
2. The minimum qualifying mark for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/BC/PH Categories is 40%.
3. Candidates from the BE/BTech stream must have 55% marks and Science and Maths as the main subjects.
4. Candidates who have qualified professional courses like MBBS, LLB, BA(languages), BOL, BAMS  are not eligible to apply for the TS EDCET exam.
5. Candidates who have fulfilled the Master’s Degree without completing the Undergraduate program are not eligible to apply for TS EDCET Exams.

TS EDCET Exam Subject Wise Eligibility Criteria:

TS EDCET Physical Sciences Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have qualified B.Sc, BTech, or BE have subjects Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences as one of the subjects. 

or

Candidates who have qualified BCA with Physics or Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects in the Intermediate exam.

TS EDCET Mathematics Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed BA, B.Sc, BE, and BTech with Mathematics as the compulsory subject. 

Or

Candidates who have qualified BCA and had Mathematics as their group subject in the Intermediate exams.

TS EDCET Biological Sciences Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have studied B.Sc or B.Sc(Home Science) with Zoology, Botany, or Allied Life Science as Part II group subjects.

Or

Candidates who have qualified BCA with Biological Sciences as the compulsory subject at the Intermediate level.

TS EDCET Social Studies Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have qualified BA,B.Com, BBA, or BCA with Social Sciences as the compulsory subject at the Intermediate level.

TS EDCET English Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have qualified BA ( English Literature/Special English) or MA ( English).

TS EDCET Registration Form 2025:

The Application for the TS EDCET is an online process and candidates must fill up the registration form and submit it online before the last date. It is mandatory to submit the Registration fee along with the form. Only those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply for the TS EDCET Exams.

TS EDCET Exam Date 2025:

The exam dates for the TS EDCET exams will be announced on the official website of the authorities and candidates must keep checking the website for the latest information updates.TS EDCET will be held tentatively in the month of August and any changes in the dates will be notified by the authorities.

TS EDCET Exam Pattern 2025:

The exam is divided into 5 parts and consists of objective-type questions with multiple choice answers. The total marks for the exam are 150 and there is no negative marking scheme for the exams.
