TNUSRB SI Exam pattern 2025

TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern: The Exam pattern will be released on the official page and candidates can download it and start preparing for the TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2025. Knowledge of exam patterns beforehand is extremely important as it will help the candidates to study with full enthusiasm and improve time management skills. The TNUSRB SI exam pattern 2025 for the Open quota candidates is different from the Departmental quota candidates. 

The TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern 2025 Consists of 4 Stages:

• Written exam
• Physical efficiency test
• Viva voce
• Special Test

Features of TNUSRB SI Written Exam

Open quota candidates

• The total marks for this section is 70.
• The minimum qualifying marks is 25.
• The section is divided into 2 parts- Part A and Part B.
• Part A consists of 80 questions carrying 0.5 marks each.
• Part B consists of 60 questions carrying 0.5 marks each.
• The total marks for Part A is 40 and the total marks for Part B is 30.
• The total time for this exam is 2.5 hours. 

Departmental Quota Candidates

• There are 2 sections of this exam- Part A and Part B.
• ​​​​​​​Part A consists of 30 questions carrying 0.5 marks each.
• ​​​​​​​Part B consists of 140 questions carrying 0.5 marks each.
• ​​​​​​​The total marks for Part A is 15 and the total marks for Part B is 70.
• ​​​​​​​The time duration for this exam is 3 hours.
• ​​​​​​​The minimum qualifying mark is 30.

• Endurance Test (for candidates who clear the Physical measurement test)
• Male candidates have to run 1500 meters in 7 minutes.
• ​​​​​​​Female candidates have to run 400 meters in 2 minutes 30 seconds.
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Features of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of TNUSRB SI Exam pattern 2025
• The total marks for the PET Test is 15.
• ​​​​​​​Male candidates will be scored on the basis of events like Rope climbing, High jump/Long jump, Run (400 meters/100 meters).
• ​​​​​​​Women/Transgender candidates will be scored on the basis of events like shotput/cricket ball throw, 100 meters/200 meters run.
• ​​​​​​​Ex-servicemen/Paramilitary forces candidates/Police personnel who will retire in 1 year will be scored on the basis of shot put, long jump/high jump, 100 meters/400 meters run.
• ​​​​​​​Candidates who will qualify the Departmental Test and the Physical Endurance Test will be selected for the Certificate verification process. During Certificate verification candidates have to show their original Certificates that they have uploaded at the time of application.

TNUSRB SI Features of Viva Voce Exam

• The total marks for this exam is 10.
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​The total number of candidates shortlisted for viva voce will be double the total number of vacancies for the TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2025.
• ​​​​​​​Open quota candidates who have passed the Endurance Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Certificate Verification Test will be called for the viva voce/Interview round.
• ​​​​​​​Departmental candidates who have qualified the Endurance Test will be called for the Interview round.
• ​​​​​​​Candidates having NCC/Sports/Games/NSS Certificates will get extra 5 marks during the viva voce exam.
• ​​​​​​​Departmental candidates are not eligible for NCC/NSS/Sports/Games extra marks weightage.
• ​​​​​​​Departmental candidates who have won medals in the National Police Duty meet will get special marks in the following order:
• ​​​​​​​Gold Medal- 5 marks
• ​​​​​​​Silver Medal- 3 marks
• ​​​​​​​Bronze Medal- 2 marks​​​​​​​

Please Note: The names of the candidates who have cleared all the stages of the exam will appear in the provisional selection list. These candidates have to undergo Medical fitness exam and verification of character Certificate for the final selection.
