SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024:

SBI Clerk 2024 Exam Pattern has two scenarios for conducting the exam, one is a preliminary exam and the other is the mains exams. SBI Clerk 2024 prelims exam is most probably to be conducted on 23rd June 2024 and the mains exam is expected to be conducted on 30th June 2024. The SBI Clerk Exam is conducted to select the candidates for the post of Junior Associates in the branches of the State Bank of India across the country. The candidates who are going to appear in the SBI Clerk Examination must be aware of the exam pattern as it helps them to understand the dynamics of the question paper and marking scheme.

The SBI Clerk Exam Pattern will provide the overall structure of the examination sectional-wise and the timing of the examination. The SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024 is the same and for years there are no changes made. The preliminary exams of SBI Clerk have three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical Ability. The question paper on Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability will have a total of 35 questions and the English section has a total of 30 questions. For each section, candidates will be given 20 minutes to solve all the questions. The English section consists of 30 marks whereas the Numerical and Reasoning section consists of 35 marks.

The SBI Mains Exam consists of 4 sections: General English, General, and Financial Awareness, Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. The general English section will consist of 40 questions and other sections will have 50 questions each. The General English section carries 40 marks whereas the Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude section carries 60 marks. Candidates will be given 35 minutes to solve the General/Financial Awareness section and 45 minutes for the Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude section.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024 - Preliminary Exam:

  • Mode of Examination: The Preliminary examination will be conducted online and it comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Structure: The exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions for a total of 100 marks for the SBI Clerk Exam 2024. The questions will be asked from the three sections which are:

English Language

Numerical Ability

Reasoning Ability

  • Duration: The exam duration is of 1 hour consisting of 3 sections only.
  • Marking Scheme: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
  • Difficulty: The exam difficulty will be moderate.

Note:

  • Marks that are obtained by the students in the Preliminary Examination will not be added to the selection. The preliminary exam is conducted just to check the skills of the students. Student's Main Examination marks and Interview marks will be considered.
  • The candidates are free to move through the sections. There is no hard and fast rule that they should attempt any one particular section first.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024 - Mains Examination:

  • Mode of Conducting Exam: The SBI Clerk Main examination is going to conduct on 30th June 2024 through the online medium.
  • Duration: The SBI Clerk 2024 Mains Exam duration will be of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
  • Structure: The Main examination will consist of 190 objective-type questions for 200 marks for SBI Clerk Exam 2024. The subjects include:
  • General/ Financial Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude.
  • Medium: SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2024 question paper will be set in both English & Hindi language.
  • Nature of Marking Scheme: There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks for each wrong answer given by the candidate.
  • Group Discussion & Interview: The candidates who will successfully qualify for the Preliminary Examination & Main Examination will be called for group discussion and the final interview round.

SBI Clerk Pre-Exam 2024 Training:

Before the SBI Clerk Exam 2024 is conducted, the State Bank of India (SBI) has arranged a Pre-Exam Training (PET) for the students who belong to the SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Religious Minority categories.

  • The candidates who belong to categories other than the ones mentioned above are not eligible for this training.
  • The candidates belonging to the above categories have to specify whether they want to attend the training or not at the time of filling the SBI Clerk Application Form 2024.
