NEET UG Counselling 2025

NEET UG Counselling: National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the NEET UG Result 2025. Now, NTA is going to schedule the NEET UG Counselling process from the third week of June 2025. Candidates who qualified for the NEET UG Exam will be eligible to attend the counselling procedure. NEET UG Counselling

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) is a single national entrance examination after intermediate for the science students who want to pursue a medical course (MBBS) or dental course (BDS) in India.  From 2025 onwards, NEET-UG will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) approved by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.

Till now, it was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The NTA is a self-sustained testing organization to organises entrance examinations for admission or fellowship in higher educational institutions. The mission of the agency is to improve equity and quality in education by administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair and international level assessments.

NEET UG Counselling Process:

The following are the steps that are involved in the NEET UG Counselling process:

  • Registration
  • Payment of counselling fee
  • Choice filling
  • Modification and locking of choices
  • Seat allotment result
  • Report to the allotted institute, complete admission formalities.

Step 1: Registration and Documents Upload

  • At the first step, Interested candidates have to visit the official website of MCC (www.MCC.nic.in) to register themselves.  
  • While you are registering yourself for NEET UG Counselling, must keep your NEET Admit Card.
  • When the registration will be finished, a system-generated unique password will be sent to you through SMS or Email on your registered phone number and mail id. It will be required to log in to your account on the official site of the MCC. you have to keep remembering this OTP till the end of the All India quota admission process.
  • Login to the MCC website and click on the “Candidate login” section. You can log in to your account by using your login credentials such as Roll Number and Password.
  • Later on, click on the submit button. As you click on that, you will redirect to the new web page and enter your personal and academic details here and hit on Submit button.  
  • Afterwards, all your details will be displayed as per the NTA database. Now, you need to click on ‘Confirm Registration’ to verify your provided information. As a result, a system-generated Registration Slip will be created. Aspirants should take a printout of this page.

Step 2: Choice Availability and Locking

Note: that choice Locking will be accessible only for a specific period on a given day.

  • After completing the registration process for NEET UG Counselling 2025, you need to click on Choices Available”.
  • The system will automatically fetch the candidate’s details like Category, Sub Category, Date of Birth, Eligibility etc and according to your details, it will show the choices available for admission with available no. of seats.  
  • You will see the Available Choices on the left side corner and submitted choices will be visible on the right side corner of your screen. You can choose the medical/dental institutes according to your happiness.
  • As you finish your task, enter your password and hit on “Lock Choices”
  • Once you will lock the choices then again you will not able to make any changes, so be very careful in this section.  
  • After securing your choices, students are advised to take a printout of the locked choices which will include locking date and time, IP Address of computer and System-generated Unique no.

Step 3: Seat Allocation and Fee Deposit

  • The result will be declared on the informed dates on the official website.
  • The candidates, after getting their seats allotted, will be asked to deposit the fees online as a security deposit.
  • After depositing the money, the candidate may download his/her allocation form.

NEET UG Counselling Fees for Deemed Universities:

  • Non-refundable fees: Rs 5,000
  • Refundable Security Amount: Rs 2,00,000

For (15% All India Quota) / Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/ AFMS and ESI

  • Non- refundable registration fees:
    • Rs 1,000 for UR candidates,  
    • Rs 500 for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates  

Refundable security amount:

    • Rs 10,000 for UR candidates
    • Rs 5,000 for SC/ST/PH/OBC candidates

Step 4: Report at respective university

  • After completing the aforementioned steps, the candidate will receive an SMS or an email regarding their allotted course and college. Then, applicants can reach their respective universities with the required documents.
  • While you are going to visit the allotted college then you should carry the below documents along with your security deposit receipt, allocation form.

Documents Required for Counselling:

At the time of reporting to the allotted college, candidates have to produce two photocopies of each of the documents list provided below. Applicants must take original documents along with attested photocopies for admission through the 15% All India Quota.

  • Admit card
  • NEET 2025 Result/Rank Letter
  • Birth Certificate
  • Class X Certificate
  • Class XII Certificate
  • Class XII Marksheet
  • 8 passport size photographs (Same as the one affixed on the application form)
  • Provisional Allotment letter generated online
  • Proof of Identity
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
