IPU CET Exam Pattern 2024

IPU CET Exam Pattern: The IPU CET Exam Pattern 2024 has been changed this year. The IPU CET Exam Pattern tells students about the IPU CET 2024 marking scheme and the division between the marks and the duration, etc. It helps students to prepare more accurately and also become more confident in their preparation.

The mode of the IPU CET 2024 examination will be attempted by the students in the offline mode (pen and paper-based). The question will be in the English language. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes for normal candidates. Students of the biotechnology paper have to attempt the paper in 3 hours maximum.

IPU CET Exam Pattern 2024: Overview

The marking scheme of the IPU CET Paper Pattern 2024 is available to students after the completion of the IPU CET Examination. The students have to attempt 150 questions in all and there is a +4 mark for every right answer and a -1 mark for every wrong answer. Students attempting the biotechnology paper need to attempt the question paper which is for 200 marks. This negative marking rule is exempted for students who are attempting the IPU CET for MBBS, SSMC, PGMC, DM, MCH courses. Students who leave questions unmarked will not suffer negative markings.

If students choose more than one option, the entire question will be considered as wrong, and one mark will be deducted for such a case. The IPU CET Exam Pattern 2024 is objective-based and students must choose the correct or the closest to the correct answer option from the choices. Apart from this, the mode of examination will usually be in the English language. For students attempting the IPU CET Exam 2024 for B.ed, the examination will be held in both languages, which are English and Hindi.

Candidates must also keep in mind to bring a black and blue ballpoint pen to the examination hall for marking their answers in the OMR answer sheet. The students are required to darken the ovals on the answer sheet. Pencils and other colored pens, sharpies, and other such writing materials are not allowed within the examination hall.
