The IPU CET Exam 2020-21 is conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. It is conducted with the aim of providing admission to various students in its undergraduate, postgraduate courses and diploma courses in the affiliated colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is one of India’s top-level universities which enrolls many students in its courses and programs. The university provides a high level and standardized quality in terms of education ever since its inception. Providing immense opportunities and educational exposure to their enrolled students has been their motto ever since.
The quality and level of students that get enrolled in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University are maintained and developed through the selection process and the crowd of the students that are enrolled in the university. The students are selected, not on their marks or the position they gained, but are instead selected on the basis of their overall potential. They are carefully selected and handpicked from the crowd of people through elaborate Entrance exams such as IPU CET Exam 2020-21, an All India University Level Entrance Exam.
Through the successful completion of this exam, candidates will get admission into various courses like B.Tech, BBA, MBA, PGDM, MA, BA, B.Sc, LLM, MCA, etc. However, that does not mean that students hoping to pursue an MBA will not have to attempt CLAT, or students hoping to pursue BCA, MCA or B.Tech will not have to appear for NEET, etc. They must appear for the national level entrance exams that are conducted since IPU CET Exam 2020-21 is a university-level exam. In some cases, the CET is not held for students who have appeared for the related national level exam.
The application for IPU CET Exam 2020-21 usually starts in the month of March with the release of the application or registration form. The exam itself is usually conducted in the month of April and May. Also from the year 2020 onwards, the IPU CET Exam 2020 will also be conducted in the online mode. Previously it was conducted in the offline mode but now the university has decided to convert it into online mode. This also changes the procedure for registration and application, which we have detailed below in the following sections.
Students attempting the IPU CET Exam 2020-21 will attempt the exam in the OMR mode. They will be required to answer 150 questions in which each question will have four answer options and the students need to fill in the correct response by darkening the dot next to the option. The OMR answer sheet will be available to the students by the invigilator inside the examination hall. There will be one mark deduction for every wrong answer and there will be no deduction in marks for any attempted question.
The IPU CET Exam 2020-21 is updated and changed during the years to be able to match with the current educational trends and requirements. Apart from the fact that it will be in online mode for every year after 2020, there are certain other changes in the IPU CET Exam 2020-21. The IPU CET Exam 2020-21 has also changed certain aspects of the exam scheme and pattern. The first and foremost change is that the total number of marks have been decreased by decreasing the total number of questions.
The number of questions for every IPU CET Exam will be the same across all rather than being different for different IPU CET subject exams. The timing for the exam has also been made uniform across all IPU CET Exam by allowing it to be 2.5 hours. Students must complete their exam within the stipulated time.
