Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level examination administered by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) on a rotation basis. It is conducted once a year, to provide admission for post-graduate management programmes rendered by top B-schools of India. It is organized by the IIM, Calcutta.
CAT(2019) application and registration process begins in the first week of August and remains open for the next 45 days. More than 2 lakh aspirants appear in CAT exam every year. The exam consists of both objective and subjective question. CAT is scheduled in two shifts, depending upon the number of candidates. CAT comprises a total of 100 questions based on the basics of 10+2.
CAT exam is acknowledged as the mother of all MBA entrance examinations. Common Admission Test remains the biggest MBA entrance test in India leading admission to more than 5500 seats in all the 20 IIMs including IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow.

CAT registration is a 4 step process. Before filling the form, the candidate must read all the instructions. If the incorrect details are filled the form will be cancelled. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Registration - Visit the official website and enter your email id, phone number, and date of birth.
Note: The information given must be valid as the entire communication related to the exam will be provided through email-id and mobile number.
Step 2: Now provide personal details, contact number, academic information, work experience if any.
Note: the applicants are requested not to provide any incorrect information as this can lead to form rejection.
Step 3: Next step is to upload the documents ---- scanned photograph, signature & other required certificates.
Step 4: CAT 2019 Payment of Application form - The Application Fee can be paid online via net banking/credit card/debit card.
