Applicants preparing for the exam must be aware of the BITSAT exam pattern. The questions include the language of the exam, mode of the exam, number of questions in the exam and time allotted to applicants. These details can help the applicant to sync their preparation for the exam.

For a wrong answer, 1 mark will be subtracted.

The exam pattern of BITSAT is totally different from other exams as the question paper carries multiple choice questions. One marks in deducted for wrong or incorrect answers. The exam is conducted in online mode. The paper will be divided into 4 parts– Part I, Part II, Part III and Part IV.

Physics and Chemistry sections will have 40 questions each, while Mathematics will have 45 questions and English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning will have 10 and 15 questions respectively. The time duration to complete BITSAT 2019 paper will be 3 hours.

Each correct answer carries 3 marks and for each incorrect answer (-1) will be deducted whereas if a question is not attempted then no marks or zero marks will be allotted. If the applicant completes all the questions before time, then he/she can go for 12 extra questions (4 from Physics, 4 from Chemistry and 4 from Mathematics).
