Eligibility Criteria

Noval Doon Defence Academy offers different defence courses, each with specific eligibility criteria. Candidates must fulfill these requirements, as failing to do so will result in the rejection of their applications. The eligibility criteria for each course are detailed below:

NDA

• Candidate should be between 16-19 years of age.
• A candidate must either be a citizen of India,  a subject of Bhutan, or a subject of Nepal.
• A candidate should have passed the 12th class from a recognised board.
• The marital status of the candidate must be Single.

CDS

• For the Army- Candidates must be a graduate of any stream.                                                  
•  For the Air Force- the Candidate must be a graduate with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as the main subjects.
• The candidate should be between 18 and 24 years of age.
• The candidate’s marital status must be Single.

AFCAT

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Candidate's age must be:
• For Flying Branch - 20 to 24 years
• For Ground Duty - 20 to 26 years
• Candidate must have completed their Graduation with a minimum of 3 years degree from any recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks.  

Merchant Navy

• Candidate must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised Engineering College with a minimum of 50% marks.
• A candidate must be physically and medically fit with Eyesight - 2.5 and No Color blindness.
• A candidate's age must not exceed 25 years.
