A master’s degree in any program with a minimum of 55% aggregate is required for M.Phil and Ph.D.

JNU conducts entrance exams for UG as well as PG courses. The syllabus for both programs is different. This is because the minimum qualification and eligibility criteria for both programs are different.
☛ For UG Courses: Undergraduate courses are for students who have qualified their intermediate. These courses are for specialization in their respective streams. All the topics and concepts of class 11th and 12th are the syllabi of this exam. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics are the main subjects in the science stream.
☛ For PG Courses: Post-graduation courses are for expertise in a particular sub-area. This is even more narrow than a graduation course. The syllabus to gain admission into the PG program is equivalent to your graduation course.
JNU conducts the entrance exam once a year. Students need to apply for this exam to be admitted into their desired courses. This entrance test is the minimum eligibility criteria for students. The syllabus and date of all exams may be different. However, to be admitted to any of the courses, you need to follow the same procedure.
Computer Based Test (CBT) is the mode of the entrance exam. In this mode, you answer all the questions in digital mode. For MCQ questions, there are four options and you have to select the correct answer. This model has several benefits for students and the conducting authorities. The main entrance exam for admission into Jawaharlal Nehru University is JNUEE. But there are also some other entrance exams that are the minimum requirement to take admission into some courses. These entrance exams have equal importance as JNUEE but are only applicable to a few courses.
☛ JEE Mains: This entrance exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This is the main requirement for JNU admission into the B.Tech programs. ☛ JNU CEEB: Jawaharlal Nehru University conducts its own exam for Biotechnology courses. Jawaharlal Nehru University Common Entrance Exam for Biotechnology (JNU CEEB) is the exam for any biotechnology course.
The syllabus of this exam depends upon the course you applied for. Biotechnology has different subjects that are different from other subjects of the course. So, the university conducts a separate exam for Biotechnology courses. Students need to qualify for this entrance exam to take admission into B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Tech Biotechnology, M.Tech Biotechnology, etc.
☛ CAT: Common Admission Test is the entrance exam to take admission into the MBA program in different colleges of India. This exam is a national exam. Students also need to qualify for this exam for JNU admission into MBA.
JNU conducts several programs to provide scholarships to deserving candidates. The scholarship helps students to get an education without worrying about the heavy fees. However, it is not easy to get a scholarship. You need to fulfill some requirements to become eligible for the scholarship.
Some common scholarship programs conducted by the JNU:

☛ Professor Nurul Hasan Scholarship: This scholarship is provided to the MA/M.Sc/MCA students who have scored the highest marks in the first year of their respective departments. The amount of this scholarship varies according to the course.
☛ Jawahar Bhawan Trust Scholarship: This scholarship is provided to students who maintain at least 5.5 CGPA at the end of the third semester in MA/M.Sc program and a fifth semester in case of MCA program. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1000.
☛ Professor Gouri Shankar Singhal Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is provided to a single student who scored the highest CGPA at the end of the third semester in M.Sc. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1000
