Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) is a state university, which provides UG courses, PG courses, and doctoral programs in different courses. This university was established on 8th May 2000.
It is one of the largest universities in Asia because of its large geographical size. Also, This university is linked to more than 700 colleges in the state you can check out the list of the AKTU Colleges. This university provides admission to different courses. These courses include engineering courses, management courses, medicine, and health science, hospitality and travel, teaching and education, accounting and commerce and design, etc.
It conducts entrance exams for different programs. Students who want to take admission in any course can apply for these entrance exams. After passing an exam, the Student will get a college that is affiliated with AKTU based on merit. Entrance exams are conducted for courses like B.Tech, B Des, B Arch, BHMCT, BFAD, B Voc, MCA, M Tech, etc.
Any student who wants to make a career in engineering would like to apply for the AKTU B.Tech entrance exam. It is one of the most popular state-level exams. Every year thousands of students apply for this exam. With this exam, you will get admission to a reputed college affiliated with AKTU. The syllabus of the course will remain the same in every college affiliated with AKTU. But fee structure may vary because fees are based on different factors.
One more benefit of taking admission in an engineering course with the help of this exam is that you may get relaxation in fees. Although this is not necessary, every college allows this facility.
Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) is the exam to take admission in the B.Tech graduation course. The application form for the entrance exam has been released. Below is the list of important dates of UPSEE.

You can fill the application online from the official website fo AKTU (www.aktu.ac.in). You can follow the following steps to fill the application form online.
There are 4 stages in filling up the application form:
Stage 1: Registration
Stage 2: Application form
Stage 3: Image, Signature, and other documents
Stage 4: Fee payment
1. Registration:-
Step 1: Fill up your Personal Details(Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s name, D.O.B., etc.).
Step 2: Fill in your contact details(address, contact number, email id, etc).
Step 3: Create a unique password. The password should be at least 8 digits and in alphanumeric format.
Step 4: Enter the security code and then click on submit.
Step 5: Note down your Application no. and password. It will be required for login.
2. Application form:-
Step 1: Your personal details will show in the read-only mode in the application form. Fill in further details.
Step 2: Mention the educational details.
Step 3: Choose your exam for the course.
Step 4: After filling the form, click on the submit button.
Step 5: All details will appear on the screen for correction before Final submit.
3. Image Upload:-
Upload your recent photo. The resolution should be 3.5cm X 4.5cm and should not be more than 100kb.
4. Fees payment:-
After finishing the above steps, the final step is fee payment. You can pay the fee via online mode or offline mode.

The syllabus for the Aktu B.tech entrance exam is similar to the 12th board exams but the toughness level of questions is higher than that of the 12th exams. Also In the 12th board exams, you have one subject exam in one day. So you have some time to prepare for the next subject. But here you have all the main subjects in a single exam. Another thing is that all questions are MCQs so you don’t have to worry about proper explanation. Although you have to do calculations to find the answers.
