The PGIMER Exam Result will be released on the 16th of May 2025. The PGIMER Result will be released on the official website of PGIMER. The aspirants can log in to the PGIMER official website to check their results.

PGIMER Result 2025 of DM/ M.Ch, MD, and MDS programs for the July 2025 session will be declared on June 27, 2025. Previously, the PGIMER results of MD/ MS programs for the July session will be declared on June 22, 2025. Candidates can check their results from the official website of PGIMER 2025 - pgimer.edu.in by logging in with their roll number and date of birth.

  • In the Information for Candidates section, choose ‘result for MD/ MS courses
  • Choose the ‘Click here for result’ option.
  • Write your roll number and date of birth
  • Click on the ‘Search’ option.
  • PGIMER Exam Result will be on your device screen.

Types of PGIMER Exam Merit list 2025:

After the declaration of the PGIMER Entrance Exam Result 2025, the Institute will release category wise merit list of the candidates. The PGIMER will release ten merit lists. The first will be an overall merit list and incorporate the name of all the candidates who qualify for the entrance examination.

  • People with Benchmark Disability

What will be done if there is a tie between two candidates?

If you take a closer look at the PGIMER Result, you will see that many candidates score equal percentile of marks in the entrance examination, yet have different ranks. This is because PGIMER follows a tie-breaker protocol in such cases. The given two parameters help in resolving a tie in the result of the PGIMER Exam

  • Students with higher aggregate in the qualifying examination of MBBS will be ranked higher in comparison to the candidate who has obtained lower marks.
  • If the aggregate in the qualifying examination of MBBS is the same, then, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.

What percentile of marks is required to qualify PGIMER Exam 2025?

To be eligible to appear in the PGIMER counseling, aspirants need to score the minimum percentile that is set by the Institute. The candidates who score less than the prescribed percentile will not qualify for the examination.

PGIMER Exam Cut-Off:

PGIMER Exam Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks a student has to score in order to qualify for the entrance examination. On the basis of the cut-off marks, students can calculate whether they will qualify for the exam or not. On the basis of the following given factors PGIMER Exam cut off will be decided.

  • Total numbers of candidates appear for the exam
  • No. of candidates passed the exam
  • The difficulty level of the paper
  • Previous year cut off marks
  • Reservation criteria of the Institute
  • Average scores are obtained by the candidate in the entrance test.

PGIMER Exam Counselling

Candidates who have successfully cleared the PGIMER entrance examination 2025 will be called for the counseling process. Students should be physically present at the time of PGIMER counseling otherwise the seat will be given to other candidates. For MD/ MS course, counseling will start from the last week of June 2025.

Counseling will be conducted through offline mode only. It will take place in three rounds. Seats will be given to the students on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam. Candidates must bring the following list of documents at the time of counseling for verification.

  • Migration certificate
  • Degree Certificate
  • 10th certificate or mark sheet
  • 12th certificate or mark sheet
  • PGIMER Admit Card
  • Character certificate
  • Certificate of Internship
  • Rural certificate
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • 3 copies of the latest passport size photograph

Process of PGIMER Counselling 2025:


Registration and verification:
  • Candidates who have qualified for the PGIMER merit list 2025, have to report to the Bhargava Auditorium by 10 am.
  • Between 10 am to 11 am, candidates have to finish the registration formalities and undergo the security procedures.
  • PGIMER Exam Admit Card and all the other relevant documents will be verified by the institute.
PGIMER counseling:
  • After the successful verification of the relevant documents, students will be allowed to attend the counseling of PGIMER.
  • The counseling will be held separately for the students claiming reservations under different categories.
  • Students will be called for a face-to-face interview.
  • The selection of the student will be on the basis of the inter merit and performance in the interview.
Submission of the documents and payment of the fee:
  • The results of the exam will be announced soon after the interview.
  • All the selected candidates have to pay the first installment of fees INR 2485 in cash.  The other mode of payment like Cheque/ Demand Draft will not be accepted.
  • If a candidate fails to deposit the fee on time, their seat will be canceled.
  • Attending the second/third round of PGIMER counseling:
  • If a student does not get the required stream, they can participate in the next round of counseling.
  • Students who are not allocated a seat in the first round of counseling can also participate in the second/ third round of PGIMER counseling.
