NEET MDS Exam: NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination) MDS is an Entrance Test to approach the different Medical and Dental colleges at the undergraduate level. This course was offered in India after the Dentists Act, 1948. The regulation body of NEET MDS Exams 2024 is the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The counseling and selection process is regulated by the Directorate of General Health Services. It is a national-level exam that is conducted once a year, the mode of this examination is online. The duration of this exam is 3 hours.

NEET MDS 2024:

The national eligibility entrance test for masters of dental surgery (NEET MDS Exam) will conduct on 06 March 2024. The Directorate General of health services (DGHS) has released the seat allotment letters on the behalf of the medical counseling committee (MCC) along with the NEET MDS Exam Result. The candidates who have been allotted seats are required to report to the allotted college from 16-30 June. The authorities had also released the provisional result for round 2 of the NEET MDS Exam in PDF format.

The candidates who have qualified for the examination are supposed to report any mistakes in the result by 5:00 p.m. on 15 July 2024. The candidates will be called for the counseling session based on their rank, eligibility. The candidates are called for NEET MDS counseling for 15% of all India quota seats conducted by the medical counseling Committee (MCC).

The counseling session for neet MDS first round has started on 12 March. The merit list has been released by the conducting body of the National Board of Examination (NBE). The merit list has been released for 50% of the All India Quota. This is a computer-based examination. The candidates who have secured the minimum cutoff percentile prescribed by NBE will be considered eligible for the counseling process. The counseling for the AIQ seat allotment process is conducted in two rounds and a mop-up round will be organized for deemed central universities and colleges.

The respective state qualities will conduct the seat allotment process either in offline or online mode and candidates are supposed to follow their rules and regulations as per their guidelines. The candidates should fulfill domicile criteria as prescribed by the state neet MDS admission prospectus. Overall the counseling committee will conduct three rounds which also include a mop-up round.

The NEET MDS 2024 Exam is an eligibility cum banking examination for the single entrance examination for admission in MDS programs. The score obtained in NEET MDS Exam 2024 will be accepted by most of the top-ranking dental colleges in India. NEET MDS scores are also accepted by the various dental courses offered by institutes of the state and various state exam boards.

 The National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam Test is a once-in-a-year legitimate entrance exam for the admission of candidates in masters in digital surgery programs across the country.

Eligibility Criteria to Crack NEET MDS 2024:

In every exam, eligibility is the basic thing so the candidates before applying for NEET MDS Exam 2024 should check the Eligibility Criteria. One should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery. He or she should have a One-year Internship at a recognized Dental college to apply for NEET MDS Exam 2024. However, there are so many sets of rules and regulations that are set for the candidates for applying for the exam.

Some of the University exemption that is given for doing an internship concerning candidates are as follow:-
  • The Candidates must have completed their UG on or before 1989.
  • Candidates who have completed their 4 ½ years UG Program and 6 months mandatory internship Program can only apply.
  • Candidates who have completed their 5 years UG Program in the year 2006 - 07 from any Dental college.
  • The board will only accept those Candidates who are pursuing their final year of the UG course.
  • However, they should complete their Mandatory Internship before March 2024 and they have to submit a detailed Internship Letter with the starting date and Final date.
  • If any candidate fails to do so this might lead to disqualification of the exam.
  • Candidates belonging to a few states of India are not applicable for 50% of All India Quota. The board gives exemption to candidates nominated by the Government of India from these states, the states are- Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu & Kashmir.

The counseling process of NEET MDS Exam 2024 will start after the result has been announced. there is going to be a common counseling process for both MDS and post-graduate diploma programs. Important Instructions for NEET MDS Counselling 2024:
  • The candidates are required to be present at the venue at the mentioned time and date. Candidates must reach the examination center a day before the actual exam so they don’t have any problem finding the examination center. 
  • Candidates must carry the original documents that are required at the time of counseling. 
  • Candidates are required to be present for the counseling session on the designated date and time if the candidate misses this he/she will not be given another opportunity. 
  • If the candidate is found not eligible for the examination but he/she has filled the registration form. In such a scenario the conducting authority will have the right to cancel the candidature of that candidate further preventing him or her from participating in the NEET MDS counselling process.
