IIT JAM Exam 2026 Information

Candidates must be a BSc graduate from a recognized institute or university to be eligible for the IIT JAM exam. Candidates in their last year of study are also eligible to take the IIT JAM 2026 exam.

Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematical Statistics, and Economics are the seven subjects covered in the IIT JAM test. Students may choose any one subject for which they wish to appear.

According to the IIT JAM exam pattern 2026, each paper will consist of 60 questions worth 100 points. IIT JAM is a computer-based exam in which questions are answered in English. Candidates will have three hours to complete the 100-point test.
