HSSC Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates must check out the eligibility criteria before applying for the post. If you are not eligible you will not be allowed to sit in the exam. Here are the details check them out. 

HSSC Age Relaxation 

The minimum age for a candidate to apply for this post is 17 and the maximum it can be 42 years. There might be relaxation for certain categories in age and those are mentioned you can read them out. 

Aspirants from the SC/ST category have a relaxation of 5 years of age.
There will be a relaxation of up to 10 years for the candidates who belong to the PwD categories. (The Haryana police vacancy will not be included in that)

For former servicemen, the break in the service, or the time between the discharge and the commencement of the process of HSSC enrollment is not allowed to be more than three years.

HSSC Educational criteria

It is mandatory that the candidates meet the education qualification required for the field. And here is the table mentioned for that. Have a look to know about it.

Work Supervisor

Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the subjects at the matriculation level or higher.

Candidates must possess an ITI Certificate in the Trade of Building Maintenance/Building Constructor.
There is a need for every candidate to have a work experience of two years in the field of relevance.

Auto Diesel Mechanic The candidates need to have Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level.
​​​​​​Candidates should have a certificate from ITI in Mechanical Vehicle Trade.
There is a need for every candidate to have work experience of two years in the field of relevance.
Carpenter the candidates need to have Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level.
​​​​​​Candidates should have a certificate from ITI in Carpenter Trade.
​​​​​There is a need for every candidate to have a work experience of three years in the field of relevance
Plumber Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the subjects at the matriculation level or higher.
​​​​​​There is a need for every candidate to have a certificate from ITI in Mechanical Carpenter Trade.
​​​​​​Candidates must have a work experience of two years in the field of relevance.
Surveyor Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the subjects at the matriculation level or higher.
​​​​There is a need for every candidate to have a certificate (two years) from ITI in Surveyor Trade.
​​​​​​They should be required to have an experience of two years in the field of relevance.
Painter The candidates need to have Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level.
​​​​​​Candidates should have a certificate from ITI in the paint trade.
​​​​​​There should be an experience of two years in the field of relevance.
Mason

The candidates need to have Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level.

There is a need for every candidate to have a certificate from ITI in the Mason constructor Trade.
​​​​​​There should be an experience of two years in the field of relevance.

Mechanic

Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the subjects at the matriculation level or higher.

There is a need of every candidate to have a certificate (two years) from ITI in Refrigeration
​​​​​​Candidates must have work experience of two years in the field of relevance.

Electrician Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the subjects at the matriculation level or higher.
There is a need of every candidate to have a certificate from ITI in Electrician/Wireman Trade
​​​​​​Candidates must have a work experience of two years in the field of relevance.
Supervisor The candidates need to have Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level.
​​​​​​Candidates should have a certificate from ITI in Mechanic Vehicles Trade
​​​​​Candidates must have a work experience of two years in the field of relevance.
Inspector The candidates need to have Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level.
​​​​​​Candidate must have a certificate of graduation from a university that is recognized or has similar qualifications.

HSSC Post Eligibility Criteria

Name of the Post Age Limit Educational Qualification
Junior Engineer 18 - 42 Candidates must possess a 3-year Diploma in the Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil branch; OR
​​​​​​You are required to have a full-time bachelor's degree of four years in the respective engineering branch Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil.
​​​​​​They should have cleared their matriculation with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
Gram Sachiv 17- 42 You are required to have a degree in Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any institute that the UGC recognizes.
Canal Patwari 18- 42 You are required to have a degree in Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any institute that the UGC recognizes.
Sub-Inspector 21- 27 You are required to have a degree in Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any institute that the UGC recognizes and they should have cleared their matriculation with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
Police Constable 18- 25 It is important for you to clear his/her 10(+2) exams from an institute that is recognized or equivalent. Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of their subjects.
Female Supervisor 17- 45 (For matriculation)

It is important for you to clear his/her 10(+2) exams from an institute that is recognized or equivalent.

Matriculate: The candidates should have cleared their matriculate or Bal Sevika Training with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

Graduate: The candidate should have completed his/her course from a recognized university or institute.

Staff Nurse 17- 42 The candidate should have a Diploma (GNM), B.Sc in Nursing/Post Basic Nursing) from a university or institute that has recognition.
