Age limit:

  • The candidate should be a minimum of 17 years old at the time of admission in any medical graduation course. Based on that you should apply for the exam.   • The upper age limit for the DU MBBS exam is 25 years. A candidate should be below 25 years of age. There is a relaxation of 5 years in the age for SC/ST/OBC - NCL category and Pwd candidate.
Qualification Requirements:

Another important parameter that decides your eligibility for the exam is your qualification background. This is very important because the DU MBBS exam will be from a given set of subjects. If you did not select those subjects in your higher secondary education, you will not be eligible to appear in the exam. 

  • A candidate who is appearing in the 12th class examination can apply for the exam. But he can not take admission in any undergraduate course unless he scores the required marks in the 12th examinations.
  • A candidate who selected subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English is not eligible to appear in the exam. This is because the questions in the exam appear from these subjects.
  • Candidates who have passed 12th class as a private candidate or from an open institution shall not be eligible for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. DU MBBS exam. Also, if you select Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject, you will not be able to apply for the exam.
