Assam TET Recruitment: The Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) is the teacher eligibility exam at the state level. Assam TET Exam is conducted by the Department of School Education. This exam is also known as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). Assam TET is conducted to recruit the candidates as a teacher in any government and private schools in Assam to teach lower primary and upper primary class students.
The lower primary category includes classes from class I to V while the upper primary category includes VI, VII, and VIII classes. Assam TET Exam appoints candidates for the post of Assistant Teacher, Associate Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher, Hindi Teacher, Classical Teacher in all the government, semi-government schools in Assam.

There are certain eligibility criteria for Assam TET Exam that a candidate must know. Here are all the details of it. The Eligibility criteria vary for both the lower primary TET and Upper primary TET. The lower primary TET is for the candidates who want to teach students from classes I to V. 12th (or it's equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

12th (or it is equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year degree in graduation in Elementary Education.

12th (or it is equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma degree in education (D.Ed).
OR
Any Bachelor’s degree with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Any Bachelor’s degree with minimum marks of 50% and along with that B.Ed program which is completed from a recognized university.
Any Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Any Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed program.
