Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is a private engineering institution located in the South West Delhi zone in Janakpuri. MSIT was established in 1964, it offers an Engineering course under 7 different streams. The college is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly known as Indraprastha University (IP or IPU). Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is also accredited as a “Grade A’’ by NAAC (Nation Assessment and Accreditation Council) and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

The institute aims to become the most admired institutional center of academic excellence in the area of  Technology, It ensures to transform its students into all-rounder professionals and enable them to become a resource to the growing technological needs of the country. The college has fixed no. of  660 seats in the engineering courses. MSIT, Delhi has highly qualified and experienced faculty that follows the contemporary teaching methodology which helps the students to develop their professional skills and stay updated about the changing technologies in the field of engineering.

• The Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT, Delhi) infrastructure consists of all the advanced facilities, The campus is backed up with 24x7 power backup. The six modern air-conditioned networked computers labs cover all ranges of Computer Science & Information Technology subjects such as Network Technology,  Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence(AI),  Mobile Computing, Robotics, Compiler Construction, Analysis & Design of Algorithms, Interface Programming, Data Structure, DBMS & Object-Oriented Programming. All labs have licensed software such as Visual Studio, .Net 2003, AutoCAD 2004, MS Office Professional 2003, Oracle 9i, TASM, Orcad, Windows XP. 
• In Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT, Delhi)  campus, The software is updated and upgraded frequently to provide advanced and new feature-able knowledge of training. High-speed internet access using a radio link is also provided. Students are offered real software projects relating to the current industry requirements to facilitate a smooth transition from academics to the industrial environment. The Electronics & Comm. Engg. Department has eight modern laboratories covering all the important subjects eg. Analog Electronics Lab, Control Engg. Lab, Microwave Devices lab, Digital Image Processing Lab, Consumer Electronics Lab, Digital Circuits & Systems Lab, and Microprocessors lab. Recently a VLSI Design Lab and a Satellite & Mobile Comm. The lab has also been added. 
• Adequate licensed MATrix LABoratory toolboxes, Tanner tools as well as the kits of IPGA/CPLD microprocessors and advanced microprocessors are available to give the students clear insight into design and development processes.
