Admission Process of LBSIM, New Delhi 2024

A rigorous selection process that includes scores from competitive examinations like the CAT, XAT, and GMAT is used by LBSIM to select candidates for admission to the PGDM, PGDM (Financial Management), PGDM (Research & Business Analytics), PGDM (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), and PGDM (E-Business) programs.

This is followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT)/Extempore, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview (GD & PI). A panel of knowledgeable faculty members and business leaders chooses the students. As a result, the Institute is able to choose applicants with varied educational and cultural backgrounds.

The participants must hold a bachelor's equivalent degree from an Indian institution recognized by the UGC, with a minimum of 50% overall or the equivalent in any subject, to be eligible for admission to the PGDM programmes.

After finishing higher secondary school under the 10+2 system or an equivalent, the candidate must have completed a minimum of three years of education to earn a bachelor's degree or an equivalent certificate.

Candidates who will be taking the bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification exam in 2024 may also apply. Candidates must, however, provide a certificate from the university's principal attesting to their 50% passing grade. The mark sheet and certificate must be submitted by December 15, 2024.

All applicants must pass the Common Admission Test (CAT 2022), which will be administered by the IIMs on November 27, 2022 (Sunday), the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2024) by XLRI on January 8, 2024, or they must have a score on the GMAT that was obtained between October 1, 2022, and January 15, 2024.

Candidates must complete a separate application form for Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, which will be made available along with an information brochure, in addition to registering for the CAT 2022, XAT 2024, and GMAT.

Shortlisted candidates are chosen based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT results, previous academic performance, job history, and other details provided in the application form.

Only those who have been shortlisted will be invited to the group discussion, personal interview, and written ability test/extempore in February and March 2024.

The CAT/XAT/GMAT scores will account for 60% of the final selection, while the previous academic record, the Written Ability Test/Extempore, group discussions, personal interviews, and job experience will each account for 40%. The Institute's Notice Board will display the results of the chosen candidates, and those results will also be uploaded on the Institute's website.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management has a hostel facility for its students. For the purpose of offering separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, LBSIM has partnered with an outside organization. 3 kilometers separate from the hostels from the college.

The accommodations are air-conditioned and are designed for twin-sharing. The Institute has set up transportation for students to travel back and forth from the campus to the hostel.
