The college was established in the year 2002 by the Sagar Educational Society, Barabanki with affiliation from Dr A.P.J. Sagar Institute of Technology and Management (SITM) Eligibility Criteria

Course	Min Eligibility
B.Tech	50% marks for General category 45% marks for SC/ST category Must have passed 10+2 with PCM subject. Min 60% marks are required for lateral entry admission in B.Tech.
M.Tech	Candidate should have a bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering from any recognised university. 50% marks for General category. 45% marks for SC/ST category. A valid GATE score will be considered.
MBA	Must have a 3-year degree in any discipline. Minimum 50% marks are required. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.

Sagar college provides the facility of residence to the students. There is a separate well-furnished girls and boys hostel with all the necessary facilities. 24 hours electricity and water are supplied for the comfort of students. The common television room is available for entertaining the students. All basic requirements are met by the hostel.

The first priority of hostels is the good health of the students. A gymnasium is also there. 4G Speed Internet is available at all time of the day. There is a mini separate library in the hostel. Healthy and hygienic foods are served in the mess. Each and every room is spacious and ventilate with clean matters, pillow and bedsheets.
